I have thought about you and Don every time I hear Rendell’s name pop up in the news, and almost drove off the road when someone started speculating that he’s on Obama’s short list for VP. Thanks for keeping up the good fight.

Did you see Fred Barnes article about it? God save us from our friends.

Rendell is too thuggy a guy to run with Obama. They would not be a good match. I can't see Obama going for it.

Thank you for remembering us and for all your support over the years, and for responding on this thread.

Just in case Obama is thinking about Rendell, we want him to at least see this and hopefully it will give him pause for thought. Also, Rendell has a BIG MOUTH and is a loose cannon. Obama doesn't need more of those kinds of people close to him.

Your brother? No kidding. If you have never listened to Dom Giordano on 1210AM you ought to give him a listen. That’s how I found out about your brother’s plight. Dom was bouncing off the walls defending your brother and condemning Rendel and Lynn Abraham when the incident occurred.

Rendell has a BIG MOUTH and is a loose cannon.

I still believe with all my heart that Al Gore was forced to select Joe Lieberman as his running mate after Rendell's gaffe about him.

I have been listening and calling Dom for years (though not recently) and long before that incident. At the time, Dom, Rollye James, Mark Levyn, Larry Klayman, and John Fund and others as well, as well as Free Republic (there were many threads on FR about it and some say it was the impetus for the March for Justice which help to inspire the house managers during impeachment) and Jim Robinson, were instrumental in helping our case. Don was a guest regularly on Rollye James, and sometimes on Dom's program (we got to know them pretty well), and he also appeared on Bill O's show and Hardball.

We had a dinner on behalf of our supporters and Rollye, Dom, Larry Klayman, and John Fund as well as a few local politicians like John Fox attended. It was one of those instances when the conservative movement pulled together well. Even Rush spoke about it on his program at length on several occasions.

We also co-sponsored an event with Judicial Watch at the Republican National Convention in Philadelphia, which several national politicians attended.

That was well before you got on FR it appears, though I'm surprised you didn't hear Don on Dom's show. He occasionally still mentions him.

Thank you much for your comments. They gave me the opportunity to recap some of the effort of the conservative movement regarding that incident, for those, like yourself who were unaware of it.

You've got a good memory. Fortunately, for supporters of the Iraq war, that was a good thing, lol!

How about one of his more recent gaffes, when he said conservative whites would not vote for a black candidate for president?
