I am not one to get all hyped up due to storms having taken a few met classes and just being used to it.

But, this is scary.

I installed the GR3 radar software just to look at this. Very scary signature of debris.....

I just got another update. The one scout that we’ve heard from is in the clinic in Onawa, IA. His parents are on their way to see him. He was in the area where the fireplace collapsed. The other two were in another area of the camp and were reported to be ok but we’ve not have any direct contact with them yet.

Thank you for the updates.

Prayers for those who need them, as the pain and fear must be beyond understanding.

I wish these storms would stop now.

Thank God he’s alive! Did you hear from him directly, or from his folks?

Channel 3 just had another update regarding the boy scouts. The two new pieces of information is that they are still treating injuries on scene and the National Guard has arrived with large floodlights so they are planning to work through the night. Awaiting a press conference — press has been relocated to an outlying town so as to be away from the families as they arrive to find out the status of their children.

Gotta get some sleep. Prayers for all involved with this tragedy.

I heard from one of the other leaders that has been in contact with the parents who have been in contact with the scout. Still no direct contact with the other two.

On livenewscameras.com someone is reporting that the tornado in Kansas has been on the ground for 80 miles now??? Can someone confirm or deny that here? I’m searching for a live feed from Kansas, but so far no luck.

So, at this point you know two are alive, or all three?

OK, I found a live news feed out of Topeka...

Anyone who wishes to watch go to:

http://www.livenewscameras.com - a link should be in the 3 featured feeds at the top of the page. WIBW is the one you are looking for. If you don’t see it there just search for Kansas in the search bar. They are feeding live chat, so you’ll have to mute the girl on the right side of the page.

one of the stations actually caught the tornado as it was in town via their skycam.

Then the camera was taken out and their station website is down due to heavy traffic.
