Honor student suspended for 'noogie'
New York Daily News ^

Posted on 06/21/2008 6:11:38 PM PDT by WilliamReading

The youth and his lawyer Edward Paltzik say the charges are trumped up.

In fact, Paltzik insists that teacher Sharon Cantante, like Gilda Radner's Lisa Loopner on the old "Saturday Night Live" skit, didn't mind getting a few noogies from the boys.

"She had this very bizarre tendency to invite students to give her noogies," Paltzik claimed. "This teacher has a history of encouraging noogie behavior."

The teen is taking his case to the state Appellate Division. The Mirenberg camp showed a photo of the eighth-grade teacher smiling broadly while absorbing a male student's noogie.

The 39-year-old divorcee seems completely at ease while getting the knuckle rub.

No, no, no! Not the teacher, the boy was suspended and someone asked instead of a suspension what kind of punishment would be appropriate. My suggestion was to give the student a tittie twister. I thought it was funny and a better solution than a ten month suspension.

When we were kids, this kind of stuff went on all the time. It was always an adventure in the cafeteria line, some kid would hit another in the ____ and a war would break out, all the boys standing in line with their hands in front of their pants, trying to protect the family jewels. Pretty dumb but thats the way it was. It wasn’t done out of anything other than boys being boys, we were all friends.

Oh okay. Sorry I misunderstood. I just could not fathom where you were coming from about giving the teacher a TT. Lol

I bet the boy would have gladly taken that punishment. Ten months, I don't think I've ever heard of a 10 month suspension before.

Boys being boys. They behaved that way when I went to school too. The teachers would rap them lightly on the head and tell them to settle down. Case closed.

Schools don't like boys being boys anymore.

That's too bad, too. Over the years, I have noticed that many of the worst behaved boys(full of the dickens) in school grew up to be the best citizens.

I sure am glad we got our misunderstandings straightened out! You must have thought I was really warped!LOL

I agree. Seems like now they have to hold everything inside. Unless they're gay then they can throw that in your face. Boys rough housing is a no-no. Boys prancing around daintily, it's oooookay.

So am I. It was so ought of your character it left me scratching my head. ;)

Sounds like familiarity breeding contempt.

She may be chunky, but doesn’t appear to be guilty.

FR appeals courts have ruled on numerous occasions that "chunky" is permissible evidence for the jury to consider in cases like this.

I'm a cigarette smoker. Sometimes me and my girls will indulge in a good cigar ourselves.

I knew what you meant.

Glad to hear that.

Went to a cigar fest about a month ago. There were some young women from the air force base there smoking cigars. I found that to be very attractive. I talked to one who was originally from Hawaii. She was an MP, very nice gal. They all were.

I have only been smoking the occasional cigar for about ten years now. Never did smoke cigarattes but I love hanging out with those that do just because it torques the anti smoking nazis around them. Smokers need the moral support. I despise political correctness and all that goes with it.

I wish they had a get together for cigar smokers here. I think a lot of people would be surprised at how many women like the occasional cigar. I know me and my girls do.

My sons will bring them over too. With 6 of us puffing on cigars we have to smoke on the porch. :)

My hubby never did smoke, can't stand 'em. He calls them little nails in my coffin and he despises the anti-smoking nazis. PC is national suicide if you ask me. Hell, you can't do or say anything anymore that doesn't offend someone about something. It's horrible what our country is turning into.

It was great! Started with a social hour where everyone lit up cigars and visited, then a dinner followed by Filipino-American dancers. They even got me out there to teach me to dance! I was horrible but it was fun! That was followed by a really cool soul band that played the rest of the evening. This was the first one held but it is going to be an annual event. Already looking forward to next years.

Of course, along with the cigars we indulged in the adult beverages. A local cigar store set the whole thing up. If there is one in your area, you should talk to them about doing a cigar fest. It’ll be good for their business.

Giving someone a “noogie” is basically a dominance ritual . .. with the intent to establish a pecking order of sorts.

The “giver” is considered superior to the “givee”.

Try this at a job interview and see if you get the job.
