Which I think all states do. The issue is that all states stamp their seal and an authorized signature on the document. Obama's appears to lack both of these. Apparently Hawaii does this on the back, but it should have leaked through similarly as the date did. There is a certified copy of a Hawaiian Certification of Live Birth posted, and you can clearly see the stamp state seal and signature leaking through. Without those, the document is useless and was not officially released by the state.

When & by who would his eligibility be checked? Shouldn’t it be done before being sworn in?
What if he was found to be ineligible after winning the election but before being sworn in. Who would then be sworn in? His VP running mate?

If it is, it’s brilliant. Eventually, someone from Hawaii vital records will confirm that the birth certificate is legit and everyone who bought into the “ITS A FAKE” hysteria will look like a raving loon. At this point, that would include all of FR and the right side of the blogosphere.
In about a month, I expect to hear a lot of complaining that “No one takes us seriously!”.
Assuming his VP is a natural born citizen, he would sworn in as President 1/20/2009.
Personally I think Obama is going to make a fatal error with his choice of VP.

And everyone who cites that section of federal law fails to realize it doesn't apply to Obama's circumstances.

It has, however, been confirmed that “Right Wing Loons will believe anything bad about Obama, no matter how ridiculous”. This means that when someone here expounds on a legitimate issue regarding the candidate, they will be disregarded as one of the crazies that bought into Larry Sinclair and the Fake Birth Certificate.
The Obama camp could not have discredited the right wing blogosphere any better if it tried. I don’t think that they are slick enough to have actually planned this, but if you wanted proof of a “Vast Right Wing Conspiracy”, I can’t think of a better way to get it.

Didn't someone say that state of Hawaii has no record of anyone with his name being born there?
OK. If the requirement is 5 years after the age of 14 she didn’t make the cut. According to wikipedia Obama’s mother was born on 11/29/42 and he was born on 8/04/61. She hadn’t reached her 19th birthday yet. So if it turns out he wasn’t actually born on US soil he is not eligible to be president.
