Bush is such dumb ass, that he makes it a point to pick his enemies for posts in government, and even to marry his daugther. I have never seen anyone so bent on reaching out to people who will turn around and stab him in the back.

The UMC minister that officiated at my wedding admitted many times that he voted for Carter...twice. Being that that minister was also my father in law, we had some wonderful political debates up until he passed away.

I believe we'll learn that Laura Bush was instrumental in pushing her husband to the left on significant policy issues (the 'Education Bill' that GWB let Ted Kennedy write, for example).

I'd bet the ranch Laura was responsible for "picking" this ding-dong pastor too.

She's the liberal Methodist who makes the decision on which church the family attends.
