Some Houston residents are upset after Korans were left on the doorsteps of hundreds of homes in their neighborhood as part of a campaign to educate people about Islam.

Residents of Braes Timbers in southwest Houston began finding the holy books two weeks ago, MyFOXHouston.com reported. The Korans came with a note saying they had been left by the Book of Signs Foundation, which claims to have distributed 30,000 free copies of the texts to residents throughout the city.

And how do you feel about our Iraqi allies?

Bob, the Koran, the “infallible, perfect revelation of Allah”

commands “believers” to

conduct war with (kill) the unbelievers (YOU) until all are converted or pay the jizya (enslaved).

Those who do not follow this command are apostate and subject to death themselves.

Do you understand this?
Three choices:
Conversion
Enslavement
Death

The “Peace of Islam” is another deception.

The “Peace of Islam” comes when all the world is subject to the Sharia Law.

And how do you feel about our Iraqi allies?

They're doing what Osama Bin Laden calls "backing the strong horse."

It's nothing more than that.

There is a difference. Our God is bigger than the book He wrote. While I would not like to see Bibles desecrated, doing so would harm neither my God nor my faith, and I would be under no compunction to do violence to the person who desecrated the Bible.

In fact, my religion would tell me to pray for the individual who did so, not hunt him down and kill him. The Bible is indeed holy to me, but I do not worship it.

Do you agree the Old Testament supports the stoning of prostitutes?

Or how about when David and other early Jewish Kings swept through Canaan and other areas attacking every town and village, killing all the people including women, children and the elderly, so they could establish the Jewish nation. The Bible says they were commanded to do this by God.

I seem to recall some FReepers getting the vapors when Christian missionaries did the same thing in Israel and somebody made a bonfire out of the giveaway tracts.

FReepMail to be added or removed from this pro-Israel/Judaic/Russian Jewry ping list.

Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.

Man, do you really need some IN CONTEXT biblical study.

Read some Norman Geisler, he answers your uninformed questions rather handily.

And they were, and they did. I don't question what The Lord My God told His people to do. I'm just glad they did it. Through them came Christ, and through Christ the opportunity for the whole world to know of the Lord.

Yes, yes! But those were the Infidels so-called “bibles”, not the Holy Koran of peaceful Islam as transmitted to the Profit MoeHamEd (piss be upon him) while he was marrying an eight year old girl, molesting the odd camel and killing thousands of unbelievers whilst riding a magic flying unicorn! Don’t you see the difference?

BTW, where’s your burqa, you brazen hussy?!! /sarc

Did you perhaps mean "Joshua" not David? If God created everything, and He tells you to destroy something in His creation, isn't that His right?

I disagree with the way it's being done. We're not being nearly agressive enough.

For every American soldier who is killed, one Iraqi town or city should cease to exist.

Call it the "Lemay Option". Look into how German towns were handled AFTER the German Army surrendered in 1945 and the Werewolves continued their 'resistance'.
