Blogger admits Hawaii birth certificate forgery, subverting Obama claims (Uh-oh)

Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.

The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.

The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.

Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.

McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

Some freepers thought they detected a seal in microscopy, but nowhere near enough to establish WHAT seal. Not even any letters or ensignias. Just a hundred or so refractory pixels in what should be 50 thousand pixels on raised cotton paper. I think a seal is something you can see and feel, not something you have to use forensics to establish.

However, the one with the faint 'seal' was manufactured and put on the site AFTER all the hub bub about no seal. I can see the forger going, "Oh, geeeze, I shoulda got ahold of an embosser -"

If Obama wins the election (God forbid) and is shown not to be a citizen prior to the Electoral College meeting, the Democrats would probably get the electors to vote for someone else for president (could be Hillary, could be the VP, whoever) and if they elect Obama’s VP as President they would obviously elect someone else as VP.

If Obama is shown not to be a citizen after the Electoral College meets but before the electoral votes are counted by the new Congress on January 3, then there are two possible results:

(i) Obama is declared the president-elect (and his VP the VP-elect) and then, on January 20 (Inauguration Day), the presidency is declared vacant because the president-elect does not qualify for the office and the VP-elect is sworn in as president and immediately becomes the president; or

(ii) following the precedent of 1872, in which the few electoral votes cast for Horace Greeley (who had died after the election but before the Electoral College met, but who received a few electoral votes from presidential electors that I guess didn’t care that he was dead) were ruled by Congress to be null and void because the candidate wasn’t eligible for the office, electoral votes cast for Obama are declared void and thus no candidate would have a majority of electoral votes; in such case, the House, with each state delegation having one vote, would elect the president from among the three persons with the most presidential electoral votes (the last time it did this was in 1824, when it elected John Quincy Adams), and since McCain would presumably be the only eligible candidate to have received electoral votes I guess that McCain would necessarily be elected (he’d obviously get at least one Representative from at least 26 states to vote for him).

Thus, if Obama is found not to be a citizen after the Electoral College meets but before Congress counts the votes, the Democrat-controlled Congress would overturn the Greeley precedent (which, in my honest opinion, was idiotic in the first place) and would count the electoral votes for Obama, declaring him the winner, and his VP would become president on Inauguration Day because Obama wouldn’t qualify for office.

I’m assuming, by the way, that the Democrats wouldn’t be tyrannical enough as to insist that Obama become president even though he doesn’t meet the constitutional qualifications.

It doesn't matter where Obama was born. If his mother was a US citizen, then he is.

He has to be a natural-born U.S. citizen to be POTUS. That disallows being born in Cuba, N. Korea, etc. as you claim. It doesn't that his mother is a citizen.

The Barry Soetoro thing is interesting. No one would hold it against him if they changed his name to that when they did. But lets just say he was born Barry Dunham. But Barry Dunham to Barry Soetoro to Barack Hussein Obama might look bad to some people. I mean how many males have gone by three last names in their life. Now if it was born with the name he has now I can’t figure out what would be embarrassing to him in that birth certificate.
