Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

They do not address the reasonable concerns re the blanked out cert number, the use of "African" as a term, nor do they give a close of the names.
And why is the certificate so precious, that they could only come in to visit it while under escort? And why not allow some truly neutral party to view it? Exactly how much does Hawaii charge for a certified copy?
This "factcheck" resolves very little.
Probably we aren't convinced by that either. But if they produced that it would respond to a number of issues. If they produced that on a certificate that hadn't clearly been photoshoped, we would have a lot more to think about.
You know that, whatever the arguments are about the face of the fake certificate, that it is a photoshop document because you can see that the number has been digitally removed rather than redacted with tape or other means--thus the entire document is a digital representation.
If they show you one that isn't, you then have something to think about.
The certificate number shown tells us nothing as to what might be on the CoLB - on its own, it's just a number.
That the Seal and signature now 'showing' relate to a CoLB that might be obama's isn't proven by the images shown of portions of a certificate that might belong to anyone...

Suppose he actually was born in Hawaii. He would have an original BC issued shortly after his birth.
Then suppose he was legally adopted by Soetoro. Wouldn't the original BC be sealed and an amended or delayed BC be issued under a different name?
And if he later did a legal name change back to BHO II, wouldn't another certificate be issued similar to the original, but possibly with a later date. Or would it just revert to the original BC?
Maybe all this mess is to cover up the adoption??
He might have been born in Canada, or an in an 'unmarried mother's home' somewhere on the US mainland, his birth may have been registered in Hawaii by the grandparents. If his name was registered as Barack Hussein Obama - as the birth notice in the Hawaii newspaper suggests, then simple common sense tells me 'she was very young and single when she had him' as Michelle said. The grandparents would have been motivated to conceal the fact that Stanley Ann and obama snr were not married. In the 60's unwed pregancy was a terrible stigma. Most unwed mothers gave their children up for adoption. In Australia it was common practice to send the girl to another State, a very long way from the home town.
I have seen nothing that suggests that Stanley Ann and obama snr ever lived together. He acted very much as the single man while she was pregnant and after he was born. There are letters from friends of obama snr on a website from during that period, and a wife and/or child are never mentioned.

Assuming his birth name was given as Barack Hussein Obama II - the adoption would make him Barack Hussein Soetoro. (Or Soturo, that's the way Stanley Ann used her married name.) How he became Barry Soetoro upon adoption beats me, but that's the name used on his school registration in Indonsesia.

That's the period that brings up a lot of questions. Suddenly, he's in Hawaii and now his name is Barry Obama. I doubt very much if anything was done officially to change his name alone. It's possible that the grandparents adopted him - during that period in 1971 when Obama snr came to visit. An adoption proceedure possibly recommended by Stanley Ann's attorney, to assure she, or the family, retained custody of her children. If that adoption took place, his name would be Barack Hussein Dunham! It's in that same period that his half sister Maya also achieved her 'second' birthday. Muslim children belong to the father. Registering Maya's birth in Hawaii in an effort to confer US citizenship upon her might have been a measure to assure that Soetoro could not claim custody. As for obama, I doubt that Obama snr came all the way from Kenya just for a Christmas visit. There may have been a much greater need for the journey...perhaps he needed to present himself to contest the validity of the first adoption...or give his consent for the second?
Maybe all this mess is to cover up the adoption??
I recall obama wrote in 'Dreams' that he found his birth certificate...if all is as is maintained, there would have been no need to apply for a CoLB from the Hawaii HD on the date stamped on the rear of the certificate. If his birth name was Barack Hussein Obama, born in Hawaii to an 'African' father...
It is a mess, and all of his own making. Ultimately, I can think of only three reasons for the subterfuge and why the birth certificate obama found was not used: A. His legal name is NOT Barack Hussein Obama. B. His father, Barack Hussein Obama Snr identified himself as Arab-African and probably gave his religion as muslim. C. The original birth certificate was issued at a facility either used or attached to an 'unmarried mother's home' that was NOT in the US.
One thing I am certain of. He cannot divulge the truth. The carefully constructed fairy-tale of his origins will not allow it.
I have no doubt that obama is nothing but a fabrication, but if I can buy that book in Australia, I'm uncertain.
Isn't it something that they show bits and pieces on separate exposures but not the whole thing with the embossed seal and the signature etc.
Photo 2 along the side shows the full certificate and you can see the seal. You can click on it and enlarge the image quite big. I find the pronounced folds in the paper very suspicious though. I don’t remember seeing any sign of folds in the images that were put up before.
IMO it's the same old forgery but now there's a faint impression of a seal - and Presto! Now we have a number...and the folds that were not there before have been carefully folded after the event.
Furthermore, if you go to the website (FACTCHECK-ANNENBERG!) and view the enlarged version, (see LHS) you'll see that the seal impression appears to have been made with a dry stamp - no ink.
I wonder what Polarik might have to add to enlighten us?

Exactly. We don't know that the Certificate Number is actually on Obama's certifiate; we don't know that the seal and signature are on it either. Nor do we know what the certificate really represents.
Many certificates of live birth do not result from a live birth in the jurisdiction in which they are issued--they come from adoptions, name changes, or a variety of other issues. This is all just a continuing dance.
You might suspect that this particular release is responsive to the fraud argument rather than to support the birth in Hawaii argument as it states.
One real piece of additional information is the number 10641. I assume that the certificate number tells us that he was birth number 10641 in 1961—so how reasonable is that for August 4, 1961? Can we a get a July and later August certificate to bracket the number?

It is impressed into the paper creating a crimped in pattern that is easy to see, easy to feel, and difficult to copy.
Interesting that the document number is in a larger and bolder typeface than all the other data entered on the document.
I suppose they could be pre-serialized.

Isn’t the crux of the matter really whether he qualifies as “natural born”?
The other factors are influencing peripheral facts in that direction, most of which tend to disprove not prove he is a natural born American qualified to be president.
ALSO - what about the Philadelphia lawsuit asking for him to prove this or cease and desist?
AND - will someone please confirm that if we are in a state of war at the time of elections, the elections can be postponed or suspended by Presidential edict?
