Fox News is announcing that Tony Snow has died.
I will! :-)
Prayers for you and your hubby. Big hug.
I am very tired now and have to sleep. But I wanted to let you all know how wonderful it is to see how much love Tony Snow’s life generated in all of your hearts. God bless you all, and may God watch over Mrs. Snow and her babies.
Prayers to you and your husband.
I believe Brit is doing the show tomorrow.
You are so right!!
A whole bunch of prayers are suddenly raising up for you and your husband.
I heard earlier he had converted to Catholicism when he married his wife.
God bless (and heal) you, too, Schwarzeneger.
Did PMSNBC preempt Russert coverage with tabloid ‘journalism?’
I have only read bits and pieces of this thread. Has anyone heard from radioproducer?
It would have been nice if CNN and MSNBC spent at least one half of what they spent on Russert on Tony.
Cal mentioned about giving Tony a number of books that he read during his illness.
Griff did mention that he has been getting emails addressed to him as surfer boy. He than explained the nickname was from the radio show.
A wonderful example of a man who lived his faith and loved his family. May choirs of angels sing him home.
Thanks for that tribute Ali! Just beautiful.
I have enjoyed watching Griff on Fox. I was just wondering what had happened to her.
I agree ... though I hesitate to compare an agenda seems more than clear.
I hope they know how much the show meant to so many people.
Geraldo laughing at Ben Stein then basically cutting him off. What an a**hole.
I question the judgment of anyone who’d hire Whorealdo.
I just saw that last shot with TS leaving the White House, and everyone was out there...
I can’t imagine anyone else having that huge crowd of colleagues and receiving such visible appreciation for someone leaving the White House. What a thrill for him to bask in the glow of all that love. It was stunning.
I’m out for the night. It has been really great to spend all this time with everyone. I have to believe Tony would be thrilled with all the laughter, hugs, and kindness on this thread.
Way up thread, NordP suggested we all do 5 random acts of kindness in remembrance of Tony. It doesn’t have to be any thing major, just holding the door for someone or letting someone merge in front of you in traffic. NordP, would you be able to repost that? It was great.
Good night, everyone!
((((((((((((((RK))))))))))))) nighty night.
I have been in a car all day travelling, as my Grandma just died, and a while ago my mom told me, “Tony Snow died”.
I was stunned.
I knew that by the time I would be able to access FR, there would be over a thousand posts. I was right. We FReepers love Tony Snow.
This little Snowflake is standing in a puddle. :*(
Prayers for the Snow family. ((((Hugs)))) to all the Snowflakes. We will surely miss him.
I HAD to change channels. Rivers has zero credibility. Who follows this media whore? I honestly don’t get his attraction (hype).
I agree that that was a good idea.
I hope someone will call into Rush or email Fox with that idea as well.
I turned the TV off. My consolation is that cable numbers are immediate and perhaps somewhere in the basement of Fox someone will notice the precipitate drop in their viewers when Geraldo came on.
I am so sorry to hear of your Grandmother.
We are all kind of standing in a puddle today and are glad to have your company.
So sorry to hear about your Grandma...big hug. Glad you’re here...it’s been quite a sad day.
Sorry about your grandma, Shelayne.
It’s been a sad day here, and tomorrow probably as well. I want to make sure I don’t miss Fox News Sunday, so I will go to early mass.
I’m so sorry about your grandma!!!!
Amen..May the Lord be with you and give you strength and healing for your husband.
They’ll go back up tomorrow morning.
Brit will be hosting Foxnews Sunday.
Already confirmed guests include Vice President Cheney and Rush.
Good night, everyone! I am glad I got to talk to so many of you, since I am not here as frequently as I used to be.
Probably so, as it’s so large.
Bill O did say he had converted
to Catholicism and I thought I
had read that he was a Catholic,
Found more than a couple of links
that state that:
“He does not have a great deal of reverence for the old-time idea of the objective, truth-seeking reporter:
God, the source of all fact and truth, is objective, he once told an audience at Hillsdale College, in Spring Arbor, Mich., but journalists, who often know very little, are not.
(This is unusually direct Godspeak from Snow, who is a Catholic convert and talks with little of the direct religiosity of the president.)
I have been in the hospital for the past few days (my twins are finally here!) and we have been so busy—so I just learned of this a little while ago and it just broke my heart. :*(
My family and I send our most sincere condolences and prayers to Tony’s family and friends over this very sad loss. I was so hoping he would be able to beat this cancer the way he bravely and faithfully fought it. :*( America has truly lost a real hero today. :*(
Not that God needs a spokesman, but he just got a good one. Thanks for fighting the good fight Tony.
I remmember watching his closing statements on Sunday morning. I felt, this was a man who really knows whats right, whats important, and how to live. Tony was a man for all seasons.
I only hope his children grow up to learn how great their father was. He touched so many. Sometimes children don’t realize all the other people their father touched. Its such a gift to have such a great parent.

And it’s great idea, Lynne .. thank you. We can sure all be better people and extend ourselves to others, even in small ways.
(((Hugs))) to all of you!
Congratulations on the twins? What did you name them?
I just looked at your tribute. So wonderful. Thank you for the sweet tears once again.
