The religion does give validation to the crazies, but not all Muslims are fanatics. The Bible has some pretty interesting quotes too, that one could use for violent justification.
We have A LOT of Muslim allies. Many Iraqis, Pashtuns, and other have died alongside our troops.

We have A LOT of Muslim allies. Many Iraqis, Pashtuns, and other have died alongside our troops. I'm not refuting that... but there's no such thing as a “moderate Islamist”. There's only a weak Islamist whose faith is shaky. The only way to see this conflict in its proper perspective is NOT to view it as a nation vs. nation struggle... rather, its an Islam vs. western culture struggle.
That's why western leaders spinelessly label this... “The Long War”. There will be no peace until Islam goes through a major reformation... either on its own initiative or by force.
