Obama backs away from McCain's debate challenge
Associated Press ^

Posted on 08/02/2008 6:36:06 PM PDT by quesney

McCain's campaign disparaged Obama for backing off. "We understand it might be beneath a worldwide celebrity of Barack Obama's magnitude to appear at town hall meetings alongside John McCain and directly answer questions from the American people, but we hope he'll reconsider," spokesman Brian Rogers said.

The article states that they are going to be in the style of Douglas/Lincoln who spoke for an hour each and then give a rebuttal. We all know why Obama wants this format, but can you think of a more boring “debate?” This is not 1860! And what’s this about McCain not going for a townhall meeting with Obama? It’s because he wanted it on the 4th of July when no one would be watching! Geeze

“What no script, teleprompter, or earphones allowed?”

Maybe they can put a loft over the hall so george soros can manipulate hussein “el puppet” obama’s strings. Does anyone know if soros is a ventriloquist?

The Messiah shall not speak to mere mortals for their own safety. McCain would surely faint if he cast his eyes in the direction of the enlightened one who has also been waiting for the enlightened one. The fainting could possibly be from dizziness!

Well, the regular Debates eliminate teleprompters also but we know the “Obama-friendly MSM” will throw softballs to B. Hussein and try and destroy John McCain.

If I was McCain, I’d say 3 Townhall meetings and 3 Debates OR NO FREAKIN’ DEAL!!!

Last week he said, anytime, anyplace, anywhere. His yellow is starting to show.

O.K., this is McCain's next "gimme" from B. Hussein. Take it Mac and run with it. This in itself is a good Campaign Ad:

Male Announcer: "Why will Barack Obama not keep his word to meet with John McCain at Townhall Meetings? What is he afraid of?

Voice of an inquisitive Lady: "The Truth? Could it be he's afraid of The Truth?"

wow...suddenly mccain has picked up a set of balls.

McCain has always had a big set of brass ones. The trouble has been in the past that he used them to buck his own party and president. Now, we get to see him turn that maverick routine on the Dems--and it's fun to watch, I have to admit.

Barry can’t work without a net.

snicker (good one)

Watch him when he speaks. His head swings from left to right to left to right and appears to be looking at the crowd.

However, he NEVER looks straight on down the middle.

That's because there's no TelePrompter there.

He has one on the left and one on the right - and his head swivels back and forth like someone at a tennis match.

It's hysterical.

I'd like to see what would happen if he swung to look at one and it was BLANK.

He'd panic, loose his place, and we'd see a blithering idiot standing there uttering uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh

When the poop hits the prop, I’d rather a president that doesn’t need a visual cue to decide what to do.

That’s just me...

Obama went from "Anytime, anywhere" right after he was selected by the DNC, to "hold me mommy, I'm afwaid!"

He reminds me of my childhood and big talkers in school that would want to fight everyone, then when someone would actually step forward to fight, they'd chicken out.

BokBok Obama is nothing more than a big talking chickensh!t child who runs away after his challenge is met by an opponent.

What a cowardly loser. I don't think a meter could be invented that could accurately measure how much I despise this sad, pathetic excuse for man. What a weakling.

The fun thing about BO and his “Me too” campaign - is that he can be soooo manipulated.

McCain just needs to hire a psychologist to show him what to do next. Obama doesn’t care what he is for or against (with the exception of obortion and Blacks being superior)
just as long as he wins.

They can have him changing his views back and forth so fast that he will look like a giant yoyo.

But really he is just a pet rock.
