“THIS WEEK ROUNDTABLE”-—McCain and Republicans are racist.
The current Alaska pipeline, which is 30years old, once produced as much as 2 million barrels per day.
Today it is producing approximately 700,000 barrels per day from what I have heard on shows like Kudlow, Rush and read here.
When the volume drops to 300,000 (doing the math that could be within 5 years)the pipeline gets shut down, it simply won't work.(If there are oil guys out there with better info than this pleas chime in) Anwar is less than 80 miles from the pipeline. If everything to do with drilling there was fast tracked, permitting, set-up etc. oil could conceivably be flowing in less than 3 years. ,p> One of the big problems is having to work on the frozen tundra which only freezes solid for part of the year.
If we don't start soon we will lose a huge amount of oil for the nation's energy needs. As much as 2 million barrels per day are at stake.
Speaking of global warming......
Let it be documented....last night, on HGTV, a commercial paid for by the WWF...the World Wildlife Federation headed by the Clinton former head of the Interior, had the polar bear commercial.
It shows a large bear with a baby, looking to be stranded on an ice floe. The narrator tells us that if we don’t solve global warming the polar bear will be extinct.
It’s right out of Oprah.
The little cub tries to follow its mother off the ice floe to what eventual end the viewer does not know. Cause like the narrator tells us.....the polar bear will be extinct if you don’t send money to stop global warming.
HGTV...a woman’s network.
Such a scam, lies, all part of a bunch of corrupt former Democrats that they may get money from the easily brainwashed.
Lindsey jumped right in on that with:
1. Laughter, and
2. “I am a citizen of the world”
Dashle lost in this round, imho.
I think it’s within the huge thread posted by EC and linked earlier on here.
Thanks again for putting the thread up week after week
Thank God he is soooo stupid!
Right there should be pubbie strategy number one. Do it like the Dems would do it!
Get some cameras up there and SHOW THE Artic National Wildlife Refuge to the American people.
What a sight bite. Have the McCain campaign get it in a campaign commercial.
The pubbies....they need to act like they have spines. If they do, maybe they'll grow a permanent one.
George Will on ABC just said that Obama has only played race 3 times: Florida, Berlin, and this week. I guess he forgot about Philadelphia etc. etc.
Indeed I cannot believe how long ago it was that I had posted to her, it was a shock to me yesterday to hear of her passing.
I am old enough to remember photos of “YANKEE GO HOME” graffiti in every issue of every news magazine until almost the end of the Cold War.
Part of the Marxist big lie is that America was loved until Bush became president.
Part of the truth is that because of the American economy, countries that used to worry about feeding their citizens, now have millions of citizens entering middle class economic life. That is a direct result of our expanding economy. It does not show up on any balance sheet, but it is a measurable fact, nevertheless. America is a world benefactor, not enemy.
I wish this fact would be stated by our leaders, or by anyone who wishes to lead our government.
The pubbies NEED to get this out in the open, make those Saudi/Soros funded Dems explain this logic to Americans filled with common sense who would never dream of buying tomatoes at an exhorbitant cost from a grocery when they can plant seeds in their own back yard and grow their own.
Wow what a great post Fish! Looks like lots of fireworks in store for next week! It will all start with Rush and his take on Monday!
For one, he said Obama has never said the word, “I”, he has always said, “we” and “us”. He also said Obama has always said from the beginning that he was for off shore drilling.
It’s not in the interest of socialists to make America look as good as it is.
The hamburger queen too good!!
One of the threads last week (or so) had pictures of caribou or moose under and around the pipeline.
It used to be called progress.
Ya, then why do the Dems call themselves Progressives?
When they acatually want to take us backwards
Are they just teasing us?? LOL
Its not in the interest of socialists to make America look as good as it is.
...which definitely includes Big Media.
I read that comment too quickly and thought you had said Wallace and Grommit :o)
Pelosi claims Republicans are misleading members of congress on the drilling issue, and THAT’S why she won’t have a vote.
She’s not only saving the world and the consumer, now she’s saving congress single handedly.
Anyone catch the complete comment Pelosi made “wardance of the handmaidens...”
Hmm . . McCain said that ANWR was like the Grand Canyon and must be kept “pristine”. Based on that, your photo has to be a mistake.
When they acatually want to take us backwards
They probably dream of the day when we will all dress in black pajamas and work for food, like Chinese people in the days of the Glorious Revolution.
Of course, THEY will still be able to fly their corporate jets and live in their gated communities.
IOW, they are delusional!
Lurch on MTP is trying to defend obamby and shoot down McCain but Lieberman calmly sits next to him and keeps making a fool out of lurch, (no drilling not ready for the presidency)they cant counter Lieberman. Brokejaw is just window dressing, hardly a moderator.
Not surprising...arrogance is a requirement for that side of the aisle...
Lurch on MTP is trying hard but his words ring hollow.
VEEP speculation; Celebrity Ad, Race card, Olympics, O’Reilly are the topics.
First up: The bimbo eruption (which is what Howie is calling the celebrity ad). Shows the celebrity ad, but doesn’t show the “ONE” ad.
Simon (Politico), Stoddard (the hill), and Felling (whoever he is).
HOwie calls the comparison “silly”. Simon says the ad was incoherent (which means it really really worked). Simon calls it a “grumpy old man commercial”.
Howie says the ad is childish. Felling says the ad is insulting. But, hey we are giving it a lot of coverage.
Stoddard: The ad is over-the-top and tacky. Comparing Obama to airheads is really offensive. The ad is effective thanks to the media for playing it again and again.
Howie asks about the imbalanced coverage: Felling: there is star worshiping by the media; and the more McCain spot lights it the coverage will get dimmer and dimmer on Obama.
Howie asks about the WSJ statement about Obama being too skinny?
Simon: He thinks its silly season and this WSJ article shows it. Obama will wake up to the fact that he needs to show some “false” humility. Simon loved the “ONE” ad, which HOwie refuses to play.
Howie asks about the VEEPSTAKES, and remarks about the media making stupid statements regarding veeps.
Stoddard says the media plays the game because the campaign gets dull, so they like to guess.
Simon: The real sources aren’t talking and some names being floated are just candidates being nice to people.
Felling: Palin from Alaska is the dark horse for the republicans. He equates it to March madness. Its nothing but filler time for the cablers.
blah, blah, blah
Numbers say it all,Congress approval—9%, Those now in favor of drilling 85% up from 75%. Critical mass will ruin her makeup.

Thank you Miss Nancy. Keep up the good work. She claims her signature issues are energy indpendence (yeah, right) and saving the environment.
The second one I believe, at the cost of the first.
I think the Democrats believe the Olympics and then their convention will have people thinking of different things, and not how much we’re paying for gasoline.
Good one... Mary McGrory lives!
Its entertaining but John Kerry controlled the show the first 15 minutes of discussion. That would never have happened with Tim Russert. Even though it was apparent at times that Russert was a Dem, he never lost control of his show.
