>>Bush slithering up to the Saudi beasts...

Speaking of which, check out this tidbit...

—The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, four princes and other Saudi entities are immune from a lawsuit filed by victims of the Sept. 11 attacks and their families alleging they gave material support to al Qaeda, a federal appeals court ruled on Thursday.

The ruling by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan upheld a 2006 ruling by U.S. District Judge Richard Casey dismissing a claim against Saudi Arabia, a Saudi charity, four princes and a Saudi banker of providing material support to al Qaeda before the Sept. 11 attacks.

The victims and their families argued that because the defendants gave money to Muslim charities that in turn gave money to al Qaeda, they should be held responsible for helping to finance the attacks.

The appeals court found that the defendants are protected under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act.

The court also noted that exceptions to the immunity rule do not apply because Saudi Arabia has not been designated a state sponsor of terrorism by the U.S. State Department.(!!!!!!!!!)

NO kidding...the islamic world is doing the sword dance laughing as certain forces have succeeded (almost) in dividing the post cold war great Kaffir powers—the US and Russia.

A dream come true for OBL and the Saudis.

Yes, it is a shame that Russia and America are now in an antagonistic mode.

Call me a paleocon, but I feel that we should’ve developed better ties with Russia, particularly after the end of the Soviets.

BushOne promised Gorbachev no expansion of NATO; even George Schultz, former Bechtel CEO and Reagan’s Secretary of State felt that expanding NATO was needling Russia too much, not to mention the broken promise.

Well, what’s done is done, and now we have to deal with both the Bear and the Dragon.

The bear and the dragon?..but the snake that is ISLAM is the real enemy...that has been forgotten amongst the media lies and propaganda and the anti Russian clamor coming from the right and left.

I can understand the lefties hate for Russia but I am disappointed... and fearful of the antagonism developed with Russia by this adninistration following in the footsteps ofo the Third Way socialists of Soros, Talbot, and Clinton and Blair.

The big secret is that Kosovo is overwhelmingly inhabited by people neither Serb nor Christian and it has been that way for centuries.

Dude, please brush up on your history of the region before you come out with stuff like this. Up until the 60s (1960s, that is), the population was roughly evenly split - half Serb, half Albanian. Then the Albanians got their "autonomy" (1968, expanded in 1974) and the Serbian population began steadily declining. By 1989 every 10th person in Kosovo-Metohia was of Serbian descent, as opposed to every other. That was the only ethnic cleansing occurring in Kos-Met.

If the Ossetian separatists are radical Muslim terrorits then does this shows that Putin has learned nothing from the Moscow theater incident.

Kosovo Albanians are Muslim terrorists/separatists, too. The US has supported them, despite their Muslim radicalism (not limited to Serbia/Kosovo)... and 9/11.
