Huggies Wow; I'm a Gymnast Now; Underage Chinese Olympic Gymnasts Rant, Bella Caroli is Right

Huggies wow; I'm a gymnast now! I am watching the Olympics right now and couldn't be more upset watching a sporting event. I am not mad that the country I am routing for (United States) is falling apart, not mad because the only event they are showing is gymnastics, but furious because several of the gymnasts are clearly under the 16 year old age requirement. Bella Caroli himself made a comment during the broadcast that the Chinese gymnasts were under 16 but since they had "legitimate" passports, they are allowed to compete. Aren't the Olympics supposed to be the purist form of sports? Will cheating in sports ever end?

Obviously I have absolutely no evidence or proof that any of the gymnasts in the olympics are under the age of 16. But if you are fortunate to have a set of eyes and common sense you can clearly see that the women...sorry little girls that are putting on an amazing show are barely toilet trained. Ok that may be a little harsh but look at them! Many of the Chinese girls do not come up to the shoulders of any other countries athletes. I think I saw someone on the balance beam who didn't have teeth yet. Are they midgets? Is there a national problem in China with women who have stunted growth?

These girls are unbelievable, but still little girls who have no life outside of gymnastics. They are sent by their parents as young as 3 off to train for the Olympics. Sometimes they are even able to see their parents once every other year.

Ok, let's take a test.

How old is this Chinese girl.

Take your guess and post.

I lived in Taipei for 4 years. These remarkable cherubs are not 16. I have been teaching high school for 17 years, and we have always quite a few girls from Asia here. These Olympic urchins are not 16.

I've sat on the concrete floor of my daughter's orphanage in China, surrounded by 20 other precious little girls. This barbaric government has quite a stable of God's precious little girls, numbering in the millions, all across China, sitting in orphanages, waiting for adoption, or waiting for the Commissar of Tumbling, along with his entourage of scientists, to come measuring them to see who among them meets the specifications of Heavenly Body Shape for Mao's Trapeze Flyers.

“Aren’t the Olympics supposed to be the purist form of sports?”

Get a grip. Do you really believe that? Is has nothing to do with the “purity of sports”.

No, this Olympics is simply a coming out party for the chi-coms to show the world that china is a great world power and culture and place.
Course the chi-coms don’t want you to see the underbelly of their corrupt system.

> Aren’t the Olympics supposed to be the purist form of sports?

No. The Olympics has nothing to do with Sports. The Olympics is supposed to be a showcase for the host country, a 24x7 infomercial for the sponsors, and an opportunity for steroid-enhanced monsters to compete against real Athletes and earn megabucks in sponsorships for “winning”.

> Will cheating in sports ever end?

There is no cheating in Sports. But there is plenty of cheating in the Olympics.

And these are the ChiCom Olympics — we all knew that the ChiComs are as crooked as a tub-of-guts, so why is anyone surprised that they are proving to be superb cheats?

Indeed, I would be bitterly disappointed in the ChiComs DIDN’T cheat better than anyone else.

That is why they are ChiComs. And they are doing what they do best.

Age shmage, I wouldn’t even bet that that IS a girl (something slightly drag-queenie about it).

That aside fair is fair: Give us motion pictures of that person in action THEN let us guess.

How old is this Chinese girl.

Judging from the students I've seen at the University of Chicago, she could be anywhere between 11 and 31.

The Chinese control the paper work in this case. Too bad there isn’t a blood or urine test what will revel a person’s age.

Yeah, it's not like we've got a presidential candidate trying to pass off a doctored COLB and get away with it...

Breast and hip development are not necessarily indicative of physical maturity. I have female patients who are 20, 30, 40 years old with no breasts or hips to speak of, I would hope people like you would not say they have not “matured.”

In any case, athletes of leanness-related sport disciplines, such as gymnastics, ballet, long distance running will naturally have delayed onset of puberty or menarche.

No one doubts that the girls look young. However, there is no need to accuse or insinuate people are using so-called “hormone blocking drugs” unless you know the facts.

And if indeed, China steals all “your” patents, I would hope you do not perpetuate this “stealing” and use or advocate only “your” type of products. Thanks

While watching the games last night I was constantly echoing the same thing, “there’s NO WAY most of those girls are even close to 16”.

I won’t deny that the Americans, specifically Alicia Sacrmone, didn’t screw up big time, but there was a definate bias in the judging towards China. Americans were hit harder for thier mistakes while China’s were either overlooked or lightly penalized for thiers.

BTW, was it me or did those Chinese girls (most) just totally lack in grace and fluidity in thier routines.

I’ve worked with Chinese women who I know were 30-40 years old who looked like they were twelve.

Gotta agree. For years after I graduated HS, I was constantly being stopped by the cops as I walked to work and questioned about why I wasn’t in school. I was small, skinny and looked young. I wasn’t alone. When you’re older, you appreciate a youthful look, but when you’re young and constantly being pestered for it, it is a pain.

A few years ago, I saw an article about medical problems that female gymnasts endure. Specifically, because of the rigorous training routines, there is a delay of puberty; a delay in the onset of menstration and breast development. ALL of the female gymnasts display this, but the desire in themselves - or their parents - for the GOLD MEDAL is a powerful force.

In short, I believe they are of age. The Chinese have a HUGE population to cull their athletes from. They don’t need to engage in deceit.

But this is a debate that goes on every Olympic cycle anyway. Unless you’re the first to cross the finish line, politics will be the ultimate judge of who won what event...

When watching the Olympics we are not looking at photos that have flat lighting that hides any wrinkles and where only the face is showing.

We are looking at full motion video from multiple angles that is not taken in flattering lighting.

My wife is from Asia and grew up there, and all her relatives are Asian, including her two nieces that she helped raise from infancy.

Neither she nor I believe the claim that all the girls are at least 16.

I will assume for your argument this young lady is over 16. I would guess 22. You win. The olympians must be 16, although the baby teeth is a problem.
