Man! He tells the truth, “above my pay grade”.

This time Barack HUSSEIN “Milhous” Obama reminds me of
the old “You are an IDIOT!” links I’ve seen before!

Some of them are VICIOUS, but this one is okay ...

This is incredible. As Not WRIGHT for America points out, who is above his pay grade, Planned Parenthood?! That’s who he takes orders from on this issue! www.notwrightforamerica.com

I may be wrong, but it seems to me that the press is always saying we’re up for grabs, because the press views evangelicals through the “What’s Wrong With Kansas” lens and figure the followers of Jesus should be eager to push aside the issue of murdered children in order to get a few people health care or government cheese or whatever the latest lib is offering. They also seem to think that we’re so dumb and so fixated on religion in politics that we’re going to look at John “I believe but don’t proclaim it from the stump” McCain and reject him in favor of Barack “I’m a heck of a Christian, just ask me and Jeremiah Wright” Obama.

I think it’s fascinating that Obama was able to give the one answer that could completely offend all people on all sides of the abortion issue at once.”

Especially when you consider that his stated position on abortion means that it's within a fourteen year old's pay grade to decide whether a child lives or dies.

All of this is good news. Abortion is a losing issue for the Democrats and the longer it stays out in the headlines the better for Republicans.

Now if McCain upholds his end of the deal and chooses a pro-life VP, the evangelicals and pro-lifers will support the GOP.

Excellent point, and when one considers the provisions of the Freedom of Choice Act and the Born Alive Act, it appears that Obama believes the following:

1. The child gets human rights sometime between day 2 after birth and when they (if they fall in with a bad crowd) arriv at Gitmo for processing.

2. Deciding whether a child lives or dies is below the pay grade of anyone with a womb, at any age, at anytime and for any reason. Strange that he feels as a U.S. Senator and potential President he can’t figure this out, but a 14 year old who doesn’t want her 20 year old boyfriend to be in trouble has all the wisdom she needs to decide the life inside her has no business being born.

It's just Norman Vincent Peal and the Power of Positive Thinking repackaged.

Well, I think that overstates the case somewhat, although there is no small truth there. And I think Warren and KLUV ("Positive and Encouraging") is in many ways to blame for boosting this trend along.

It's not so much that they ignore Christian theology, they emphasize and deemphasize it selectively. The unfun parts get deemphasized. The parts that make you feel good about yourself get emphasized. There is nothing in the Bible that says it's gonna be fun or that surrendering to the Lord will improve my self esteem or my inability to remember people's names or make me prosperous.

Ironically, a lot of evangelical churches don't do much evangelizing--unless by evangelizing you mean, "come to the big Halloween party, it'll be fun." OTOH, it is the first venture into Bible Study for a lot of folks. And once you start into that, the feel-good stuff ought to get harder and harder to swallow. It did for me. Now I'm Pentecostal.

One rule. If a pastor runs to the podium to music--I'm outta there.

But the bottom line on this is: A large part of the evangelical population are tweeners. They don't accept the degradation of secular humanism. But they can't get all the way to a Christian worldview. They want the good news but not the bad news. And as such, they are political 'tweeners also.

I am so glad Obama was first in the interview last night because then when you heard McCain calmly giving his instant well informed replies it made Obama PALE in comparison. In fact, Obama voiced only his ‘thoughts’ as he had no real experience to draw on.

In the classic "Hunters in the Underbrush" scenario, two hunters are out in the woods hoping to bag some deer. They become separated, and before long, one hunbter sees some movement in the bushes. He can't see what's making the bushes move. It could be his fellow hunter; it could be a deer.

Ethics question: Is he ethically permitted to shoot?

And the answer, class, is "No." Class, you cannot shoot unless you are morally certain that you are not endangering a human life. In doubtful situations you are always required to give "the benefit of the doubt" to human life.

Obama claims to be an advicate of human rights: but his whole philosophy appears to be built up on a firm founation of absolutely nothing. He doesn't know what a human being is. He doesn't know that human rigfhts begin when human life begins, and human life begins at the beginning.

To put it simply, at the level of Obama's pay grade: human life is transmittrd/i> from generation to generation. And it is transmitted with every successful act of human reproduction. If an offspring has been begotten, human life has been successfully transmitted to a new generation.

"Pay grade?" The Presidency of the United States is not an entry-level trainee position.
