They have to go slow because of the Florida Constitution.......
My point was that a slow , factual progression by the DA is most often the correct action. In a missing child case, a DA that interjects him/herself into the early stages of a case is often played for a fool by giving up prosecutions and charges for the sake of expediency and in attempt to satisfy a demanding electorate. When you lose sight of the role you were elected to play and start assuming the role of investigational police work, compromises and deals are often given in haste and imprudence
They at least have enough evidence to revoke bail, I would think.....
“Maybe one of the Autoworkers making the car fell in there and died.”
Hey get off that union worker. he deserves a raise.
All joking aside this comes as no suprise. I’d imagine they are waiting to press murder charges until they have the case pretty strong. The grand parents have to be involved in the cover up. If not before they found out then after. We’ll probably see that wire taps and recordings of their home have been installed to collect audio of any conversations.
Poor little girl. The full truth shall be revealed soon.
TP (bailbondsman) has said they can revoke her bond at will.
His uncle, LP (bounty hunter) has said that while he’d not have released her knowing what he knows now, that he doubts they’ll revoke her bond at this point.
So I don’t think the evidence matters to them, it’s just changing their focus now.
From one of the legal experts:
A loophole could allow Caylee Anthony's mother to beat the system. She's still only facing charges of child neglect and giving false statements. If her attorney asks for a speedy trial, they could be the only charges she ever faces. Florida law prohibits a person from being tried on more serious charges at a later date if the person stands trial for something that's related. "If you lose a kid and that results in a child's death, that's one and the same case, because those are manslaughter charges," said board-certified trial attorney Richard Hornsby. If Casey was found guilty of child neglect, she would only serve up to five years in prison versus a maximum of life for murder. Still, detectives have never said that Caylee Anthony is dead or that Casey is under investigation for murder or manslaughter.
Word is that evidence IS in - dna in trunk is Caylee’s, as well as results from Body Farm. That’s probably why they’re trying to get Casey to talk. Where did she put Caylee? This is so sad.
where are they saying the evidence is in? i hope so because i want them to move on her, but i hadn’t heard the dna was in, too much dnc convention news!
I’m reading on the forum on Caylee at websleuths.com Local news station in Orlando is reporting LE has prelimary results back on hair and fluids in trunk along with the results from the Body Farm.
I meant to add that the hair and body fluids are Caylee’s :( So hard to type this.
Now that's sad. I know that many people don't want to see their own flesh and blood given away to strangers, but truly, in cases like this, indeed in MOST cases where the mother is a teenager, or so immature, it would be BETTER for the baby to be raised by parents who TRULY want a child.
Sounds reasonable to me, somehow, I don't think it would sound reasonable to Casey, who clearly is relishing her power to manipulate the situation, and wants to get off scot free!
Re: Casey never wanted the baby.
And her mother insisted she not give it up for adoption.
We must remember that this is information that came from Casey’s mouth to friends. Anything Casey says must be questioned. The opposite just might be the truth. How are we to know?
Either way, adoption would have been the best option for this Anthony family. Heartbreaking . . .
Hey the lady show shotgunned her hubby the pastor was successful.
thanks for the link!
A sudden "trip" every time she walks through a room should make her a little antsy.
Or, "Oh dear, I didn't mean to spill that hot cup of coffee on you. Sorry. Did it hurt?"
Maybe a pitcher of ice water down her back would be better - no scars.
Hey...maybe turnabout will be the way the investigators can get over being duped over and over by this gal. Maybe they are somehow tricking her to confess, then ooops...we’re so sorry we lied.
*PSYCH!*
That would be funny! Someone suggested that over on WS as well. LOL
Till someone’s post of ‘hugh and series’ Monday afternoon I had no clue how many Freepers are posting about the case there also. I’d actually missed (apparently) many of the threads here and had just been over there talking about it. If someone has a ping list here for the case I’d love to be on it!
