“His record is a bit mixed. He is very McCain-like.”

That’s not a good thing.

McCain needs someone to excite the base, because he’s so dull he seems like he’s putting humself to sleep half the time.

If it’s not Palin, I’d rather see someone new and unexpected named. No one on the oft mentioned “short list” excites me at all.

I hope it is not Pawlenty. He is a boring pick. I want MITT!!!! I never expected a good pick from McCain anyways.

I have to admit I agree with you. I think Romney would help get McCain elected, because I think a lot of the public go by a persons looks and Romney looks good. Looks the part.

He’s not conservative enough for me but he’s still my pick. Doubt it though, as they say he and McCain don’t get on well.

If it’s Pawlenty, then McCain should’ve waited until Monday to announce it. This will excite NO ONE...and have people shrugging their shoulders tomorrow. It will not deflate the Obama speech one bit.

Pawlenty may surprise you. Ariculate, intelligent, reassurig, composed, and a great debater.

Speaking as a Minnesotan, I don’t understand how Pawlenty got involved with McCain.

Pawlenty seems like a nice and decent guy, too nice to be mixing it up with McCain.

Pawlenty has had his sights on higher aspirations though. (remember when they had him step aside for Norm).

Could be not only McCain’s “turn” but Pawlenty’s as well.

It's a sickness.

Dan Quayle was pretty conservative compared to Bush I, but I'll never figure out why he picked him to begin with, nor will I forget that deer in the headlights look when Bentsen handed him his head in a platter during the VP debate.

Will we see a repeat of that if it's a Biden-Pawlenty VP debate?

This may tragically show the difference between a good politician and a good VP pick. What what I have read about Pawlenty, he seems like a good governor, probably a 7-8 on a conservative scale of 10, nice looking young man.

But no excitement. No buzz....in NFL Draft terminology, not a sexy pick. Like picking an offensive guard versus a pass rushing defensive end or Running Back.(sorry ladies for shamelessly introducing football into the discussion).

Plus, I was really hoping for someone who would tear the smugness that is Joe Biden a new one. I wasn’t in love with Romney, but one thing I did think he would do is be able to look career Senator Biden in the eye and say “I’ve ran a business, what have you ever done besides be a politician”?

Again, not bashing the guy, I hope it works, but after a no or minimal bounce convention for the Dhemmrhoids, this wasn’t quite the kick in their rear I was hoping for.

Unfortunately real life campaigns are not Hollywood movies, so “excitement” is not on the menu.

Real life gives us an unknown confidence man named Hussein, beating any Republican.

Real life gives us our 40 year long dance with a corrupt liberal media, the DNC, academia, and Hollywood monopoly. Who have destroyed and betrayed our President and missions in two war theaters, with impunity.

And we are powerless to stop him or them.

“We’re so screwed if it’s not Romney.”

I would be disappointed if it were Romney... Romney is pro-abortion, pro-gay and a RINO.

Pawlenty is the antiRomney.

Romney had to move to the right to appear conservative.

Pawlenty had to move to the left to appear centrist.

Romneys conservative record suxxors.

Pawlenty has a conservative record (glowbull warming not withstanding).

Pawlenty is a Christian.
