Kristol accurately said that McCain went all in with the Palin pick. Brit said the last think he expected from the GOP VP pick that it would be significant, and boy was he wrong.

I really do like the telethon idea :)

That would compete with the Jerry Lewis marathon, which usually happens over Labor Day weekend. It would make John McCain look young in comparison, though.

By mid day yesterday...me and my friends that monitor DU had doccumented FOUR PAGES of hate and ugliness since 11am Friday morning.

she is a talk show hostess who is saying Palin is a liberal republican. (?!)

She is being called a “gun toten’ hockey mom” as a perjorative. IDIOTS, that is high praise.

If Sarah Palin was a Democrat and was chosen as the VP pick by Barrack Hussein Obama, Juan Williams would be doing cartwheels proclaiming what a great pick she was. When Juan speaks, simply feel sorry for him.

$$$$$

An example of the value of this thread!!! I will watch this show just to see Cokie say some positive things about a woman politician. Go Cokie!

Nice report, FT. I would add one small detail.

...Wooten is one bad, bad, very bad dude. He tazered his stepson with his police issued tazer gun,...

I think it's helpful to remember the stepson was eleven. (I read one report that said ten, but most say eleven.)

It’s a strawman for McCain. He has also said that any attempt to address global warming should not harm the economy. Which means Kyoto or anything like it is DOA. I think he just does it to not appear too far out of the mainstream.

I have just read McCain’s book published in 1999 “Faith of My Fathers” - found it in a vacation home in Bethany Beach.

It explains a lot about McCain’s outlook on life, and my summary is that all of the qualities from his heritage and life experience could be peaking now.

His pick of Sarah Palin is totally consistent with the personality that is revealed in the book.

I am hugely encouraged, because I am very sensitive to symbolism and portents. LOL!

That's because they believe the only real experience is to be had in DC. What the rest of us do out in the part of America that doesn't matter

Another FR poster posted an observation yesterday or Friday:
One news analyst apparently said that Obama had experience in that he has been running for president for 3 years, whereas Palin didn't have any viable experience.
So, Obama running for president equals experience. Palin sitting as mayor and governor does not equal experience. That is the kind of thinking that is being fed to the sheeple by the MSM.

I think the medis is not reporting anything because Obama is the first candidate to lose ground DURING the convention.

Not even a peep.

If the media had a bounce poll to misrepresent they would squeeze that in between the gustav reporting.

The DBM knows WE WILL RIP APPART the internals of any poll.

The days of dan rather deceptions are dead.

Kristol just pointed that Palin sucked the oxygen away from Obama’s speech

That was true, but only to a certain extent. Actually, Obama's big speech was rather dull, uninspiring, uneventful, unmemorable. The Palin announcement was a way for the MSM to gloss over Obama's lackluster 'big event' without having to heap false praise on it.
