OOOOOOHHHHHHHHH Doris Kearns Goodwin, the objective historian.
IOW, plagiariss united.
Obama stole from Duval Patrick
Biden stole from everyone
Doris Kearns Goodwin stole from other authors
Even though the rats would like to see her go away we are still celebrating The Palin Experience that shut down the rats after they put on the biggest celebration they could.
Amazing what a lovely woman with an all American family can do. She may well be the female modern day version of RR that we have all been looking for.
Other than the storms it's a great week to be an American. Phsstpok sends his regards to all.
Um, where’s Gov. Palin?
Of course, the convention is a formality, so it could just turn into a huge conference call and be done in one day. Then everybody could go to the Minnesota State Fair and eat cheese curds and lutefisk.
But I don't think the media would have accepted the idea of canceling the Sermon from the top of Mount Hubris if the storm had come in a week earlier. After all, humanity has not seen that scale of political event since Nuremberg in the 1930's, and the media would have felt cheated if it had been interrupted in any way.
Thanks AB
Republicans on the Sunday shows? My head is spinning.
For down times, here are a couple of videos to see Sarah Palin in action.
Palin debate experience

hunting?
Good question. The DNC/Driveby’s are now stating, and I quote, “She’s never even been on Meet the Press.”
Well, Tom, now’s your chance. Book her on your show!
Oh wait, Keith said “No f’n way!” And you know you must obey the new leader of NBC, Keith Olbermann.
What speech?
I think the best thing the Republicans can do is assemble a quorum, get through the business side of the convention by a voice vote, nominate John and Sara by acclamation, and say “Okay, let’s get to work raising money for the states hit by Gustav.” They can keep the convention open for 4 days and still get the message through.
For those that might have missed it!

Democrat Leaders caught yucking it up and laughing that Gustav was going to hit New Orleans and Mississippi! Video at link! Please pass it on to everyone you know...call your local press! This is outrageous and EVIL!

Scholars question Palin credentials
By FRED BARBASH & DAVID MARK | 8/30/08 9:16 PM EST Updated: 8/30/08 9:16 PM EST
UPDATE: After reading this article, the McCain campaign issued the following statement: “The authors quote four scholars attacking Gov. Palin’s fitness for the office of vice president. Among them, David Kennedy is a maxed-out Obama donor, Joel Goldstein is also an Obama donor, and Doris Kearns Goodwin has donated exclusively to Democrats this cycle. Finally, Matthew Dallek is a former speech writer for Dick Gephardt. This is not a story about scholars questioning Gov. Palin’s credentials so much as partisan Democrats who would find a reason to disqualify or discount any nominee put forward by Sen. McCain.”
Sarah Palin is the greatest thing to happen to the Republican party since Ronald Reagan.
FNC has some Alaska talk radio hostess saying mostly Republicans hate her in Alaska.
Saying Palin is socialist and liberal.
talk show lady said she is progressive.
Palin is a liberal? where? abortion? traditional marriage? gun control?
I think the talking point fax has been lost.
So far
Palin is Quayle
Palin is inexperienced
Palin is Jimmy Carter
Palin is Obama
Palin is forest gump
Palin is a liberal
there has to be something adrift in the obama rapid smear machine
To that end, Phsstpok sends us two links this morning:
QUOTE//// Im not jumping back into the fray yet, but heres Politicos Sunday Show Tip Sheet (all but CNN dominated by McCain and his surrogates).
Well have to see if the lefty nut jobs can succeed in painting Palin as worse than Dan Quayle, but its clear from their hysterical over reaction that theyre panicked. Lots of good posts at Townhall, NRO, etc. blowing the lefty lies out of the water. Flopping Aces has a great one on the trooper scandal the Obamabots are pushing.
I think shes terrific. She should start carrying around something like Glenn Becks pitchfork as a symbol of how she and McCain are going to clean out the muck in Washington. ////ENDQUOTE
Don’t cancel.
Instead, have a WORKING CONVENTION in which people from Louisiana, Texas, etc - or from FEMA - are shuttled back and forth as necessary so they can do what they have to do.
Delegates from Louisiana, Texas could vote from “home” if necessary, and John McCain and Sarah Palin could do several remotes from the hurricane area.
This hurricane, in fact, could show the country how dedicated and professional the team of McCain/Palin will be in the White House.
IIRC correctly, on the way with McCain to Mississippi to see Gov Barbour.
Note to the GOP, on the subject of the convention: Get your vote over with then turn the convention into a telethon. Raise money for the victims. Sounds like they're gonna need it.
Prayers for all in harm's way.
Once again, Freepers correct Democrat lies and misinformation. This one concerns Joseph Biden’s so-called blue collar roots. Also, by implication, might explain where some of the Biden money came from.

This one is really making the rounds!
I heard that FNC has it already and you can be sure our guys,Rush, Sean, Mark the rest wil all have it as well.
Nothing like rats caught just being themselves.
Nobody is mentioning the change from D to R in louisiana.
This is the contrast.
Events like this are why we want a Palin over an Obama.
Who does america want in a crisis? Obama giving one of his famous speeches? don’t think so.
A 4-day, everybody in the same building convention is the buggy-whip of American politics. Of all the things the parties should be serpenting money on, where does a convention fall?
And why schedule major events like once-every-four-years conventions during a season where you could have a hurricane make land? That's just a bad idea to begin with; kind of like building a city below sea-level and then getting surprised when it gets wet.
A pared-back, lightly attended, semi-ignored, GOP convention prevents the DBM from tying McCain to the "reviled" Bush administration as tightly as they'd like to.
Nya-nya-nya-nya-nya-nya!
Morning, I’m glad you won’t be impacted by Gustav, prayers to everyone there for Hanna.
Governor Sarah Palin has energized the base as no other candidate could have done. Her selection is the second great decision John McCain has made, and I didn’t think he had it in him.
For everyone, I believe today is the last day we can donate to this campaign because of campaign limitations. Future donations will have to go to other sources.
Probably not a bad idea for all of us to include Phsstpok in our prayers. I know he’s in mine.
Doris Kearns Goodwin, when is this clown going to shut up? She
goes on and on about LBJ, FDR in a seemingly never ending drone.
“Nothing like rats caught just being themselves.”
My commercial using this tape would show the tape and then ask one simple question: “If Democrat’s Leaders are so eager to use hardship and death in this country for political purposes, did they ALSO SECRETLY CHEER when bombs were going off everyday in Iraq before the successful surge because it was helping their quest for power?”......or something similar..just woke up.
seven million dollars so far since announcing Palin.
FOLKS don’t forget, Gustav has blown away literally all the attack on Palin plans.
ONE MILLION PEOPLE are out of louisiana for the Palin attacks.
We also have to think EVACUEE VOTER FRAUD. A direct hit means many people will not be home by November.
What gets me is how the driveby media is so eager to take up these talking points without even thinking about them. I'm convinced (as I'm sure all of you reading here are, too) that the DNC and Obama campaign faxes and emails these talking points directly to the media, who hurriedly read them over their cornflakes or have them read to them as their makeup tech works on them, and then immediately report the talking points breathlessly, as if their “journalists” and “field investigators” thought them up on their own.
I believe Rush had a delightful montage of the media the day after Cheney was picked as George W's running mate back in 2000--with the word "gravitas" used by each and every one of ALL the talking heads in the television media. I mean this was all in the span of about 4 hours. To say that talking points aren't faxed/emailed from the DNC directly to the driveby's is an insult to anyone's intelligence.
Still, it is my opinion that the modern "journalist" isn't very intelligent (if so, they would have picked a more lucrative profession--top driveby media stars are the exception, not the rule); and lazy. They are also extremely vain so calling them on their bias, especially with proof as Rush did back in 2000, actually devastates them. Their mindview of themselves is that they are pure reformers with hearts of gold that battle the forces of evil on a daily basis. When shown the true light of their vain, stupid, biased, dem-talking-point-speaking selves, they recoil, stunned, back into their hellholes. In other words, they have to back off.
WE, as the new media can never give up nor back down ever. We MUST keep exposing them for what they are: arrogant ignoramuses who are simply tools for the Left.
Katrina already handled that.
WOW!
I haven’t seen this many R’s in the Sunday morning list since, well, forever.
I didn’t realize the newsies knew there were that many R’s on the planet.

YIKES!
Can we have a transcript of this posted here?
What a bunch of monsters!
The dems are not thinking, every second of Gustav reporting means the Obama attack machine is off the air.
Dems are not thinking.
She has not been invited to be on any of these shows. Along with most of the other 49 governors in this country (56 in Barack Obama's country). You'll have to decide for yourself if this absence of diversity in the talk show guest list is a comment on the other governors, of the shows.
This one does not show the flags at his feet but it’s there:

In Mississippi with John McCain. They're meeting with Gov. Barbour to review the plans in place to handle the approaching hurricane.
Then onto a campaign rally.
I'm serious, though. Admittedly, I loathe the conventions anyway. I think they're just an excuse for people to party, get sauced, and/or screw around on somebody else's nickel.
I really do like the telethon idea :)
Yeah he said it was “Cool the hurricane was going to hit New Orleans”
If I were McCain I’d run that ad all over the south.
and tie it to Obama/Biden
Another chance for Democrats to shoot themselves in the foot.
Agreed
Probably directly to individual candidates, especially the ones running the toughest of races.
