The daughter of Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.) was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of obstructing a police officer outside a Chicago bar.

Ashley Blazer Biden, 21, of Wilmington, Del., was with a group of people on a North Side street where several bars are located when someone else threw a bottle at an officer, police said.

I am sure this is only place we will hear this info.

MSM is enjoying all over the Palin family right now. The left is the only one that has the right to keep family matters .....family matters.

I have to wonder how carefully the Obama team vetted Biden. I think in their desperation to have someone on the ticket with any kind of experience that perhaps their decision was made in haste and Biden was not properly vetted.

Biden has been in politics too long. What is worth more, his political career or his daughter? He should stay home and take care of his daughter. She needs him now more than ever. A girl needs her dad and Joe is very little help tripping around the country when his daughter needs him so desperately. :)

Quite obviously Biden’s daughter has anger control issues, disrespects the police, and perhaps a problem with alcohol. The media will certainly get to the bottom of Biden’s failure as a parent. Maybe we need DNA testing to determine if his daughter is in fact his, I mean, just to make sure that this aggression is not hereditary.

I hadn't heard about this before. Was Biden properly vetted by the media?

Has Biden released his brain scans, yet?

The point is the media claiming that Palin is not qualified because her kid made a mistake and questioning her parenting skills...etc.
Biden is not responsible for his daughter’s actions, and I’m sure he’s a great dad, but we are just point out the media bias.

You’re so wrong. This is war.

Either we are the party of values or we are not. Either we stand on principles or we do not.

Yes, this is war. But the only statement from the campaign and the only official statement should be "this is a family matter."

Well, at least she hasn't gotten pregnant--- has she?

Of course, since abortions are never reported, it's, like, apples and oranges, right?

As much as I want to believe a candidate when he says ‘families are off-limits’ I have to almost wonder now if that statement was made because they knew the fire-storm their followers were going to create over Palin’s selection and knew Biden’s kids have some of their own screw-ups they were hoping to prevent from getting out. Just sayin.

“This was six years ago - the MSM has about a six hour attention span.”

The attention span of MSM is very selective. Biden’s arrest was six years ago so what. MSM dug up and reported on a DWI Todd Palin got in 1986!

Of course it did, Biden is now older than the hills....but the great thing about ‘moral equivalence’ is the time warp that a question like “Senator Biden, your daughter was arrested in Chicago in 2002 comitting a crime...is that morally equivalent to a 17 year old daughter getting pregnant?....oh and Gov. Palin same question”

Once someone breaks the law, it ain’t no family matter any longer. It’s in the court system now and not the same thing as we’re seeing the democrats doing with the potential VP.

“Sen. Biden’s spokeswoman, Margaret Aitken, declined to comment, calling it a private, family matter.”

Uh, no. We need to know exactly what she was alleged to have said that was threatening. Was she telling the officer who her daddy was? Was she telling the officer that her daddy would talk to Obama about the matter with dire consequences to the officers career?

Having a baby is a private family matter. A baby this born with Downs is a private family matter.

A daughter of a vice presidential nominee that attempts to interfere with police in the lawful execution of their duties by some manner of threats IS absolute public business and should be fully investigated. If the investigation shows that the daughter was attempting to obstruct the police using her real or imagined influnce then that needs to be known. If it is determined that, in fact, the officer has or is retaliated against for doing his/her job, the people involved with that kind of influenceal intimidation should be exposed and jailed along with the daughter.

Something else that gets overlooked....

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2069846/posts

Sen. Joseph Biden - Bearing false witness...

[snip]“In a striking moment in December 2007, he opened his heart to University of Iowa students. “Let me tell you a little story. My wife and three kids were Christmas shopping for a Christmas tree, a tractor trailer, a guy who allegedly, and I never pursued it, drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch, broadsided my family, killed my wife instantly, killed my daughter instantly, and hospitalized my two sons.”

Out on the stump recently and for years, Biden has repeated this charge. Lately, he has tried to soften it with the thought that he doesn’t know if the semi truck driver was drunk...., “ I never pursued it”. He didn’t follow the case about the death of his wife and child? Give me a break.

The court certainly did. The driver was never charged and was cleared of any wrong doing. Mrs. Biden, driving a station wagon full of kids and a Christmas tree pulled into the truck’s path. The driver, also a victim, had not been drinking and for the years before his death his reputation suffered with the false charge that Biden put out in the public for sympathy and political gain.

Let me see if I can be more clear.

The only “official” response from the campaign, the RNC or any Republican official should be that this is a family matter.

I have no doubt that the blogs and some of talk radio will point out the hypocrisy. But I don’t see our need to get in the gutter with DailyKos to carry our message.

Your mileage may vary.

And FWIW, Sarah Palin is not going to be forced off the ticket.

We need to make sure every part of their lives are exposed, their homes and offices searched, there letters opened, phones calls listed, nanny’s, baby sitters, school teachers and professors subpoenaed, Pets checked for flees, eating habits, TV shows watched, etc etc etc. What right do they have to keep any part of their life private?
