Kelly O'Donnell was telling Olbermann the the operator rolled over some parts etc.... She said alot of jibberish that I didn't understand but there was a problem
Why the hell would you be watching Olbermann that closely anyway?
Please don’t post vanities as breaking news.
And Gov. Palin handled it well. Even leftist moonbat Olberman commended her on her speech giving ability.
I wouldn’t have known there was any problems at all listening to Sarah tonight.
She was absolutely magnificent.
To see what the other side is talking about. Mostly all good remarks even that howard Fineman Rat...
Sorry, i don’t post topics that much....
2. When this happened to Clinton, the MSM marvelled over his ability to yammer on for ten minutes about nothing. I guess when it's a conservative woman, she's even responsible for Teleprompter upkeep. Oh, and where was she when the Hindenberg blew up?
Sarah’s only problem is not being able to see thru lead. And she doesn’t like Kryptonite either. Other than that, I can’t find any limitations.
Was she using a teleprompter? 8<)
Lets change that to OVERMAN> Hey it is over for those lamebrain reporters. Sarah has pulled back the curtain and EXPOSED the wizard. Have you seen the GRIN on alot of the lib female reporters. This gal makes people smile. A sure winner>
Yea, So what? Geez... There was nothing wrong with the speech
Just reporting there was a prompter problem
This is a big deal, CNN said on the air, anyone can give a speech from a prompter.
They later back pedaled, hmmm. strange
Just imagine what would happen if Obama’s teleprompter went down.
“Well...um...um...but...you see...um...heh heh...um...change?”
Olberlessthanaman must have slipped into his "Yes Mistress, I'll have another" mode.
Keith Olberman = reincarnation of a San Franciscan hamster.
Yeah, and I was just commenting on the subject. Don't be so thin-skinned, I wasn't criticizing you.
They must have upped his meds.
All these convention speeches on done with a teleprompter. The rubber hasn't met the road just yet.
Obama the stutterer
They said the teleprompter was a Vista machine and crashed.
Just because there might be a prompter does not necessarily make it easy to give a speech. There are things such as congruent inflections & natural flow of communication. The person giving the speech still has to go so as though they were not reading from a prompter.
Until they were reminded (rather abruptly) that EVERY speech is “written by” somebody else, and “no one last week” talked about who wrote the democrats speech.
THAT comment woke the group up: They KNOW now that THEIR prejudices ARE being noticed effectively - and, like Peggy Noonan’s comments - are remembered.
The women (all except Gore's dnc robot) were specifically more favorable than the men: I think the women commentators realized that Obama just lost a LOT of votes tonight.
Reid's “shrill” critiques were also IMMEDIATELY picked up as a direct insult to Palin - and THAT insult didn't go over very well either. Even Gore's robot didn't repeat Reid's words - because the panel knew that Hillary is “shrill” and comes across as what she is: a hate-filled power-grubbing woman.
Sarah comes across as a woman who has a sister with a new gas station who shops for milk in the grocery store, with her baby in her arm.
You never know!
I was watching CNN during Fox New commercials. Several of the women on the chit-chat panel kept going back to Harry Reid’s use of the word “shrill”. Now they covered it by insinuating that it was a Reid staffer, and not Reid, who made the comment, but still...
She did great, but I thought there were 2 parts in her speech, where I kind of got confused. I thought maybe it was me, but could have been the teleprompter.
One part was about the middle 3rd of the speech. Sorry I don’t even remember what she was talking about. But all of a sudden, I couldn’t tell if she was talking about McCain or Obama for a few seconds.
And then at the end, I thought she missed ending. Sounded like she forgot to say something about “John McCain for President”. Kind of felt like she left something hanging.
Anyway, not 100% sure, but she covered it great. I think she also had a set of speech notes on the podium. I saw her turning pages when they had a camera view from the side.
I hope all the MSM gets note of this. If there was a problem, no one was aware of it. Shows Sarah’s professionalism and calm demeanor.
PBS had crowd-shot cameras positioned behind her where they actually picked up the text on the teleprompters occasionally.
I’m sure it was pure happenstance. Really.
There was one point at which she had an extra long pause. At that time, I thought she had lost her place, I almost expected her to go rummaging through her papers. I realized that something was not right, and got that shot of anxiety, knowing what would happen to me at that point(I would freak out or something), but she handled it like a pro.
I saw her with a sheaf of papers with her speech on the podium..She looked directly at the center most of the time so I wonder how much she actually relied on the teleprompter at all? I think she knew just what she was going to say. She is one polished and refined lady and Biden better watch out..I think he will not be the match for her he thinks he is.
Obama and Biden: “T-t-t-t-t-togeth-th-th-th-ther w-w-w-w-we c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-c-aaaann!”
How can anybody watch/listen to that speech and not say to themselves “We have to Elect her”
The VP debate?
Palin will take Bidens head off:
She runs marathons,
pulled gill nets for hours from an open-deck Alaskan boat off-shore for her family’s business,
has worked through pain and injury on that boat when no help was available,
made the winning shot at the buzzer of the state basketball game while playing with a stress fracture (Obama was a bench warmer on his team),
shoots and dresses out moose in the field,
cheers on her husband in a snowmachine race in -29 degree weather,
won state honors as a high school cross-country runner,
in her office, sits on one of the two grizzly bear skin rugs her father has shot ...
When you write a speech yourself, you know it by memory. All you need is the odd reminder so you don’t miss a section.
I didn’t notice anything. I thought she was flawless.
She is simply amazing, isn’t she..a breath of fresh air...a pioneer kind of gal...and just what we need. I am thrilled with her as the choice.
Exactly right..I have had to give speeches to large groups and have written my own..and all I had were some flash cards to keep me on track and on time.
