When this broke at TSG, the Enquirer had already gone to press and they didn't want to lose any money by withholding their rag. They also undertand that a lot of their "readers" rely on the Enquirer as a source of pee papers for the dog and to line the bottom of their bird cages.

I just came up with a scenario that has the anthrax letters used in the attack being whipped together in the AMI building (publisher of the National Enquirer).

Worst case: It IS true.

And it if it IS true my hat's off to Todd Palin. He is a lot more forgiving than I am, and it appears that he has mended fences with his wife. Over ten years ago.
