UN Say Eat Less Meat to Curb Global Warming
The Observer ^ | 09-07-08 | Juliette Jowit

People should have one meat-free day a week if they want to make a personal and effective sacrifice that would help tackle climate change, the world's leading authority on global warming has told The Observer

Dr Rajendra Pachauri, chair of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which last year earned a joint share of the Nobel Peace Prize, said that people should then go on to reduce their meat consumption even further.

His comments are the most controversial advice yet provided by the panel on how individuals can help tackle global warning.

WELL. . .

1. Since global warming is a myth, and. . .

2. With no sunspots indicating a probable Mini-Ice Age , that can mean we CAN do something to save the planet: double portions of meat with every meal.

3. Meat: it's what pisses liberals off. .

Sounds like we actually need to QUICKLY eat MORE meat to get rid of all those “methane factories”

Sigh!! The “Nobel Peace Prize” meant something, once upon a time.

I’m so sick of all of this.

Ron White, the comedian’s line was: If cow flatulance was causing global warming, he was doing what he could to stop it, by eating beef. But he was only one man and could only eat so much himself, one cow at a time.

I had my triple whopper with cheese yesterday and proud of it. Of course I did over an hour of cardio later...

More meat and CO2 increases!

This coming from an organization that KNOWS there are Africans who are eating "mud pies" to stave off hunger pains?? The UN KNOWS that there are children starving in Africa and does nothing about it. The UN has NO COMPASSION (but the leaders line their own pockets with gold) for hungry people the world over.

But the UN thinks "we" should give up meat to help the environmental climate change? When they send food to every starving person in Africa, I'll give up meat.

Actually I eat meat only one or two days a week, if at all. But I'll start eating it more frequently until the UN goes to Africa and feeds all the starving people there.

Of interest:
I saw a thread on DU about Dutch scientist that claimed they could “grow” meat on a laboratory. “Frankenmeat”

Well Every Vegan on DU admitted that they crave meat and that they only are vegans because they cant bear the thought of “bambi” dying.

They all agreed that “Frankenmeat” was appealing and would snarfle it down in a heartbeat.

Funny, I find the thought repulsive.. and they find the natural way repulsive.

Liberals are deeply conflicted

I have always thought that most vegetarians crave moral superiority, but don’t agree with one or more of the ten commandments.

“However, he also stressed other changes in lifestyle would help to combat climate change. ‘That’s what I want to emphasise: we really have to bring about reductions in every sector of the economy.’”

Keep it up guys. Let the cats out of the bag about exactly what changes in lifestyles will be mandatory to combat global warming.

Once the people find out exactly what the global bureacracy will require in order to ‘reduce the possibility that the world will be slightly warmer in 100 years’, the quicker this globalony BS will be over.

new research may have provided evidence, that solar variations have had major effects on the earth's climate as recent as 2,000 years ago.
