YOUTUBE VIDEO: Obama Smears McCain-Palin As Lipstick On A Pig

Let let let's just list this for a second.

John McCain says he's about change too. Exce- and and so I guess his whole angle is - watch out, George Bush - except for economic policy, healthcare policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy, and Karl-Rove-style politics, we're really gonna shake things up in Washington.

That's not change.

That's that's just callin' sumpin' the same thing somethin' different.

But you know, you can't, you know, you you can put, ah, lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig.

Tom Toles, Cartoon, September 5, Washington Post

WATCH OUT, MR. BUSH!

WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ECONOMIC POLICY AND ENERGY POICY AND SOCIAL ISSUES AND TAX POLICY ANDFOREIGN POILCY AND SUPREME COURT APPOINTMENTS AND ROVE-STYLE POLITICS,

WE'RE COMING IN THERE TO SHAKE THINGS UP.

One thing that will be interesting to see: The cartoonist’s reaction, especially since it looks like he’s a cartoonist for the WaPo. Will he stay silent? Will he say, “It’s ok that he plagiarized, it’s all good!”? Will he say he told Obama he could use it, unattributed? Who knows...but could be interesting.

All of this was pre-scripted, right down to the lipstick on the pig.

Apparently, its been floating around some other pro-0bama sites, although they've already tried to wash that one down the memory hole.

Holy Shiite, Batman.

I am disappointed in Obama. His autobiography is very well written and shows a thoughtful man of intelligence. Yet campaigning lately we see worn out, trite phrasing and now outright copying. What has happened?

Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing.

The other possibility is that Team Obama ordered Toles to write that cartoon, but Obama is shaping up to be such a moron that I just can't see the chain of events breaking in that direction.

I mean - if this weren't so frightening [as regards a candidate who is pretty darned close to getting his finger on "The Button"] - it would really be kinda sad - Obama is so stupid that he can't even think of original material for his stump speech, and he's forced to memorize second-rate political cartoons, and, even there, he can't memorize the cartoons correctly and tell the jokes properly - he's such a buffoon that he botches the jokes he's supposed to have memorized.

And then somebody in his campaign - Michelle maybe? Axelrod? Soros? - comes up with the bright idea of comparing Sarah Palin [the hottest thing in heels since, I dunno, Rita Hayworth] with a pig?

This Obama campaign might just start making Dukakis and Mondale and McGovern seem like political geniuses.

Obama started in with Toles's "Exce-", but quickly realized that he didn't start the joke correctly, so he went back and filled in the preamble to the joke, and then he returned later to Toles's "Except" once again.

Obama can't even tell a joke right? Sad.

On 9/08 Obama’s camp claimed Obama didn’t know the comments came from a Toles’ cartoon and were told to him by a friend. Once he found out they came from the cartoon, from then on, he attributed it to Toles.

Unfortunately, in his pig/lipstick speech on 9/09, Obama did not credit Toles.

The LGF URL you cite sends one to an Obama/bin Biden cite for the lipstick on a pig reference. Lipstick on a Pig: Post from Lynn Ehrlicher's Blog It has been pulled.

I’m still wondering who scripted the stinky fish line though! LOL

Probably from visiting one of my favorite sites:

http://www.deadfishwrapper.com/

Or maybe he is a closet Lars Larson fan.

Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode about the Ziggy Cartoon plagiarism. I think that also involved a pig. Only this one was at the complaint department. What was he complaining about ? Being too short or something ?

"yitbos"

What does that mean? Ie. is it relevant to our posts?

And, yeah, I know it has been pulled. Ironically, LGF has repeatedly documented the pulling of embarrassing threads at that site.

Jack Cashill believes that "Dreams From my Father" was ghost-written:

Having written a book on intellectual fraud, "Hoodwinked," and being something of a literary detective, I had no doubt on reading Barack Obama's 1995 memoir, "Dreams From My Father," that Obama did not really write it.

The style is above his pay grade, way above...

Lipstick on a Pig
By Lynnie Gal
Sep 7th, 2008 at 1:31 pm EDT

It is appropriate that Palin refers to herself as a pitbull--an ugly, snarling, threatening animal. But we all know that the lipstick she talks about isn't on a pitbull. She is lipstick on a pig, the pig being the Republican party in general, John McBush in particular.

We've all heard the joke that Washington is Hollywood for ugly people. I get that. But we need to push back on the cynicism that McSame is pushing, knowing that signing on a sexy grandma will get white men to vote for him because they want to sleep with her. You know it's true!

Let's send out a steady stream of Democratic women on the news show circuit NOW, and capitalize on the fact that they can't send Palin out there because she KNOWS NOTHING. The repuklicans know that the hard questions the press will ask her are going to destroy her, and that's why they have to keep her locked in her dressing room All we will see are the sound bites from the solitary speech she gave that was written for her by a Bush speech writer, and the press will have to play them over and over and over ad nauceum until it gets drilled into the head of the common folk that she really is lipstick on a pig.

Actually, Bob Beckel started the whole “Palin is a pig” meme:

http://hotair.com/archives/2008/09/08/video-hemmer-sandbags-beckel-over-saying-palin-will-self-destruct/

At :31, Beckel says, “I thought she said the difference in her speech, the difference between a socc- or a hockey mom and a Rottweiler was—or maybe it was a pig—was lipstick, right?”

So, according to Bob Beckel, the difference between a hockey mom and a pig is lipstick.
