NASHUA, New Hampshire (CNN) Joe Biden told supporters at a town hall Wednesday afternoon that Barack Obama might have been better off choosing Hillary Clinton as his running mate.
Make no mistake about this, Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Lets get that straight, Biden said testily when a voter told Biden he was glad the Delaware senator had been chosen and not Clinton.
Shes a truly close personal friend and she is qualified to be President of the United States of America, shes easily qualified to be Vice President of the United States of America and quite frankly it might have been a better pick than me, he continued.
Shes first rate. No, I mean that sincerely, shes first rate.
After dropping out of the presidential race in January, Biden refrained from endorsing either Obama or Clinton unlike most of the other Democratic contenders who followed. He told donors at a fundraiser in Boston Wednesday morning that after his withdrawal, Obama asked for his support but Biden declined because of his relationship with Clinton.

I used to think that Biden was a “gaffe-a-day” guy, but he appears to be accelerating.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!
It’s just a shame that most of the Dem supporters are too dense to see how stupid this is, how unstrategic, how insecure, how.... oh, what the heck.

I don’t know. Reading this, it sounds like Sen. Biden is simply defending Sen. Clinton. That whole “party unity” thing, you know.

Do you think they are planing on putting her on the ticket to try and regain some momentum? I don't now if it would help.

The state-by-state poll numbers aren't looking as good as I hoped. There is still more work to do - even with Obama and Biden helping us.

I know this may be a first statement preparing him to step aside. However, it’s also a reflection of 0bama’s judgement. He runs not on record (either he doesn’t have any, or the ones he has are extreme leftist so he couldn’t use them) but on a promise that he’ll make a better judgment. So far, we only get empty words.

Soon the story will be that Obama begged Hillary to take the V.P. slot, but she wouldnt take it because she thought it would detract from his historic candidacy.

Yep, I think this is being somewhat blown out of proportion.
What was he supposed to say? Hillary sucks, I’m better.
People are reading way too much into this.

I still don't believe that Obama will throw Biden under the bus; that's the last thing an imploding campaign needs.
But strange things are happening, and maybe this is act 1 of the dump Joe Biden drama.
