10 Questions for Sarah Palin What ABC News anchor Charles Gibson should ask the candidate.

ABC News anchor Charles Gibson's forthcoming interview with Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin—her first since being hoisted onto the ticket by John McCain—will give a national audience an unvarnished look at the candidate. Because Palin is telegenic and the interview will be shot against scenic Alaskan backdrops, the only thing to prevent the interview from turning into sweet Republican syrup will be tough questions from Gibson.

Gibson and his team got knocked by Washington Post columnist Tom Shales as "shoddy," "despicable," and "prosecutorial" after they hosted the April 16 debate between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

1) What Bush administration policy do you disagree with most, and what would you have done differently?

Then how much smaller would the McCain budget be and where precisely should he cut?

2) How are you like Hillary Clinton?

3) You're running as a reformer, a crusader against the special interests and politics as usual. Setting aside for a moment Sen. Ted Stevens' legal problems, should Alaska return to the Senate this Republican who has delivered more pork to his state than virtually any other elected official? Yes or no?

But in the past you had no problem with asking Alaskans to vote out a standing Republican. You challenged the incumbent Republican governor, Frank Murkowski, on a pork-slaying, reformist platform and beat him in the primary. Isn't Stevens as antithetical to your views on good government as Murkowski?

4) Unique among all U.S. governors, you lead a state that shares a border with Russia, a sometimes hostile nation with a nuclear arsenal and new geopolitical ambitions. Given that, how do you evaluate Vladimir Putin?

Once again, like George Bush, the MSM is not expecting much from this little lady. They expect to see your basis Bimbo.

ABC should focus on what a story Sarah Palin is. However I fear it is going to be pretty much a smear as best they can. Remember Charlie has to answer to his liberal pals.

Question # 3 seems to asking a question, but is immediately followed by a paragraph which takes issue with the response Palin is expected to give.

Why ask a question if you already know the answer? This is "gotcha" journalism -- the kind of thing Obama NEVER has to worry about.

I don’t know what the MSM expect her to say (actually, I do), but hopefully these will be the questions.

I don’t know why Sarah Palin is even bothering with this interview. They should just ask Jack Shafer what she thinks. Apparently he has all the answers and knows exactly what she’s thinking at any give moment!

According to the ABC News website the interview will be broken up into segments. The first one of which starts at 6:30 tonight on ABC World News.

I will be watching with fingers crossed. She needs to do well.

I read that ABC was handed a list of Topics and Questions which should be off of the table for this Interview with Gibson. If this is true, I am more than a little disappointed.

Seriously, I would not expect her to answer that way (although we know you’re right)

She will handle that with the same grace she showed when she thanked Ferraro and Clinton at her acceptance speech.
I think she would focus on the love of family and her child. She would win hundreds of brownie points.

he needs to ask the sort of open-ended questions that will dislodge her from the script the McCainites have prepared.

These poor unsophisticated liberals don't get it. It's her f*&%$@! script. McCain has just been borrowing it. It's our job as conservatives to make him keep it. That's why we made him take her as his running mate.

If Gibson tries to embarrass her, she'll eat his lunch with a winning smile.

Yes, these questions are not predictable at all. LOL

I know they are desperately hoping she flounders and validates their smears, but I have no worries. They don’t give her enough credit, and that’s fine. It works to her advantage. I had no fears with her speech, and I have none here.

A more interesting question, what 10 question would she be asked if she was a democrat?

1. How does it feel to be the most loved woman in America?

2. Does it make you feel angry when people tell lies about your family?

3. Did it take a great deal of courage to kill the bridge to nowhere?

4. (if the interviewer was Babwa Walters) If you were a twee, what kind of twee would you be?

Notice that almost every one of these questions asks her to talk about someone else - Bush, Hillary, McCain, Stevens, Putin, instead of who Sarah Palin is and what her record is.

Libs don’t want her to talk about herself.

As a Christian, I will be praying for her and this interview that she will be blessed by the Lord in thoughtful, well phrased and honest discourse. That Charles Gibson will be atleast fair in his questions and ask those that are important to the voters, not the media’s view of things. And mostly how thankful I am that God has brought this woman onto the national scene at this time. Nothing is random or coincidence and “we know that all things work together for good to those who Love God, who are called according to His riches in mercy”. Romans

Might as well throw in “Gov Palin, when did you stop beating your husband?”

Gibson’s far and away the best of the three network anchors.

Here’s hoping the McCain campaign ran their own video camera during the interview in order to be able to validate answers, their truncation and context.
