"Why did it take a bunch of Arabs to do what you all should have done a long time ago?"

August, 2003: Ward Churchill Caught On Tape Advocating Terrorism [vs Fellow Americans]

Audio link at Michell Malkin's website (included below)

Question from audience:
You mentioned a little bit ago, "Why did it take a bunch of Arabs to do what you all should have done a long time ago," that's my question.

Churchill: I'm gonna repeat that, tell me if I got that right: Why shouldn't we do something and how do you you move so they don't see you coming.

As to the first part, not a reason in the world that I could see. I can't find a single reason that you shouldn't in a principled way —there may be some practical considerations, such as do you know how (laughter from audience)

—you know, often these things are processes. It's not just an impulse. And certainly it's not just an event.

And the simple answer, although it probably should be more complicated, but I'm not being flip and giving the simple answer, is:
You carry the weapon. That's how they don't see it coming. You're the one...

They talk about "color blind or blind to your color." You said it yourself.

You don't send the Black Liberation Army into Wall Street to conduct an action.

You don't send the American Indian Movement into downtown Seattle to conduct an action.

Who do you send? You. Your beard shaved, your hair cut close, and wearing a banker's suit.

There's probably a whole lot more to it, you know that. But there's where you start. .."

"God D*** America, U.S. to Blame for 9/11"
--Rev Dr. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's pastor for twenty years

Wright: "In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01. White America and the Western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just 'disappeared' as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring Black concerns."

REV. BOB SCHENCK, NATIONAL CLERGY COUNCIL: "it's based in Marxism. At the core of his [Wright's] theology is really an anti-Christian understanding of God, and as part of a long history of individuals who actually advocate using violence in overthrowing those they perceive to be oppressing them, even acts of murder have been defended by followers of liberation theology. That's very, very dangerous."

Maybe some frustrated revolutionary terrorist will assasinate Ward for not following his words with actions.
Just sayin’. The bolsheviks murdered a lot of their fellow revolutionaries for not being violent enough. Revolutions usually devour their own, Night of the Long Knives style. Again, just sayin’, not advocatin’.

Re: Ward Churchill-Weather Underground-Susan Rosenberg-Black Panthers-Black Liberation Army-Black Liberation Movement-Chicago connections?

"'When he came back from Vietnam, he turned into a radical,' said Scott Davis, a high school classmate. 'He was a war protester. He burned the American flag in front of the Peoria County Courthouse.'

In the 1987 interview, Churchill said he started spending time in Chicago at the office of Students for a Democratic Society, an 'anti-war', leftist group. There, he said, he became friends with Mark Clark of Peoria, a member of the Black Panthers killed in 1969 in a shootout with police.

He also said he met representatives of the radical Weather Underground, and he said in 1987 that he had taught them how to make bombs.

He has declined to comment since then on his 1987 claims.'-Denver Post, February 13, 2005"

"On the Justice of Roosting Chickens: reflections on the consequences of U.S. imperial arrogance and criminality (ISBN 1-902593-79-0) is a book written by Ward Churchill published in 2003 by AK Press. The 'Roosting Chickens' of the title comes from a 1963 Malcolm X [former leader of the Nation of Islam] speech about the John F. Kennedy assassination, calling it "merely a case of 'chickens coming home to roost.'"

Churchill used the term 'Roosting Chickens' in a short essay Some People Push Back: On the Justice of Roosting Chickens first published on September 12, 2001.

In that article, Churchill alleged that the September 11, 2001 attacks against the United States were 'acts of war' by the 'Islamic East' in defense against the 'crusades' waged by the 'Christian West' (e.g. Arab-Israeli conflict and The First Gulf War) throughout the late 20th century."[1]

Hamilton College's Other Leftist Problem
By Thomas Ryan
FrontPageMagazine.com | Thursday, February 03, 2005

By now, it is well known that New York state's Hamilton College invited, then uninvited, to its campus a radical professor who has repeatedly stated the victims of 9/11 deserved to die. What is less well known is that the professor who sponsored Ward Churchill's talk has a long history of radicalizing her college, shares ideological and family ties to domestic terrorists -- and is still being well-compensated for her efforts to spread anti-American hatred among that college's student body.

Nancy Rabinowitz, who started teaching at Hamilton in 1978, is Hamilton College's professor of Comparative Literature and director of the campus’ Kirkland Project for the Study of Gender, Society and Culture.

In addition to the Ward Churchill invitation, Rabinowitz extended a job offer to domestic terrorist and last-minute Clinton pardon recipient Susan Rosenberg on behalf of the Kirkland Project.

However, Rabinowitz's ties to violent anti-Americanism go beyond mere emotional support; she has family ties to those who seek to overthow our government. Her father-in-law was renowned Communist proponent and lawyer Victor Rabinowitz, whose law firm -- Rabinowitz, Boudin, Standard, Krinsky and Lieberman -- has represented domestic terrorists, accused spies, and Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. Rabinowitz defended his partner Leonard Boudin’s daughter and Weather Underground member Kathy Boudin, who was personally involved with the murders of three policemen [1981 Brinks robbery]. Throughout the 1970’s, the Weather Underground was responsible for the bombings of the National Guard offices in Washington, D.C.; the U.S. Capitol Building; the New York City Police Headquarters; and the Pentagon. (Susan Rosenberg belonged to a group closesly associated with the Weathermen.)

Victor Rabinowitz’s law firm served as the primary counsel to the National Emergency Civil Liberties Committee (NECLC), an organization that filled its ranks with members of the Communist Party, and sought to represent radicals individuals and groups seeking to destroy the U.S. Constitution. In the early 1960’s, Rabinowitz was identified in Senate testimony as being a member of the Communist Party USA. His partner Leonard Boudin’s participation was exposed by a defense memorandum based on declassified summaries of secret FBI files on the Weather Underground that came to light in December 1980. The NECLC’s Washington-based office also housed the law offices of the late National Lawyers Guild (NLG) attorneys David Rein and Joseph Forer, who were also associated with Rabinowitz’ law firm. Rein has been identified as a CPUSA member, while Forer served as co-counsel for the Communist Party with John Abt, a founding member of the NLG, who, in addition to serving on the CPUSA Political Committee, also directed a Soviet spy group in Washington (the “Ware Group”). In 1997, the NECLC merged with the far-Left Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), and amended its clientele to include not only Communists, but also proponents of Islamic terrorism. (CCR's latest suit, filed in Germany, claims Donald Rumsfeld is a war criminal.)

Nancy Rabinowitz has made it clear she shares affection for her father-in-law's son and his causes.

Hiring Domestic Terrorists

In 2004, Hamilton’s Kirkland Project director offered a teaching position to domestic terrorist Susan Rosenberg -- a member of “The Family,” a radical left-wing terrorist group that was affiliated with the Weather Underground.

In 1981, Rosenberg became a suspect in the robbery of an armored car, which resulted in the deaths of two police officers and an armed guard. She was indicted for both the plotting of the robbery and driving the getaway car; however, these charges were later dropped, when, in 1984, she was sentenced to 58 years in Federal prison for the illegal possession of dynamite and weapons. Upon her arrest, Rosenberg exclaimed, “We’re caught, but we’re not defeated. Long live the armed struggle!”

Rosenberg’s sentence was commuted by Bill Clinton on his last day in office, and four years later, she was offered the position at Hamilton by Rabinowitz, who renamed the position from “artist/scholar-in-residence” to “artist/activist-in-residence.” Rosenberg eventually bowed out of the position, when her past was exposed. She was to teach the creative writing course “Resistance Memoirs: Writing, Identity and Change;” one of her accreditations having been that she had won awards for her writing while in prison. One of her poems is a paeon to a convicted cop-killer, entitled “To Free Mumia Abu Jamal.”

Writer Roger Kimball reported that when Hamilton alumnus and official class representative Brendan McCormick attempted to alert his classmates of the appointment of Rosenberg's appointment in 2004, Hamilton College’s development office refused to send out a letter from him, although the practice is considered routine. McCormick later stated that he had to point out to them “the hypocrisy of sending out a press release claiming that you do not censor speech and then turning around and doing just that.” However, public controversy -- stirred in no small measure by FrontPage Magazine's expose -- canceled the appointment.

About the Weather Underground-related police killings mentioned in the new anti-Obama ad/video
(involves Black Liberation Army and Black Panthers)

For those of you who do not know, the 'police killing' mentioned in this latest video on Bill Ayers, his wife Bernardine Dohrn, and their revolutionary communist / "domestic terrorist" organization, the Weather Underground, occurred during a 1981 Brinks truck robbery in Upstate, N.Y. -ETL

From David Horowitz's FrontPageMag.com/DiscoverTheNetworks.org:
"On October 20, 1981 -- long after the Weather Underground had ceased to exist -- former Underground member Kathy Boudin and her soon-to-be husband, David Gilbert, were accomplices in the robbery of a Brinks armored car in Nyack, New York. In the course of that heist, one Brinks guard and two Nyack police officers were murdered. Also involved in the robbery was Judith Clark, who had served a prison term for her participation in the 'Days of Rage.' Boudin hired attorney Leonard Weinglass, a law partner of her father, to defend her in the case.

Weinglass arranged for a plea bargain whereby Boudin pled guilty to one count of felony murder and robbery, in exchange for a prison sentence of twenty years to life. She was paroled in 2003, however, over strong opposition from New York State police. Gilbert remains in New York's Attica State Prison, having refused to bargain.

In 1985, former Weather Underground members Susan Rosenberg (who also was implicated in the Nyack robbery [Brinks truck robbery/murder]) and Linda Evans were apprehended while transporting 740 pounds of explosives which they both acknowledged were slated for use in additional bombings. Rosenberg was sentenced to 58 years in prison, Evans 40; President Bill Clinton pardoned both women in January 2001."

AMBUSH: THE BRINKS ROBBERY OF 1981
[triple murder involving former Weather Underground, Black Liberation Army and Black Panthers members]

Jeral Wayne Williams (AKA Mutulu Shakur)
[stepfather of murdered rapper Tupac Shakur]

"The armored truck's final stop was the Nanuet National Bank on the second level of the mall. The crew was due to pick up almost $1.6 million dollars in cash from the bank. Inside the truck was an additional several hundred dollars in cash from earlier collections. Pete Paige was assigned to guard his partner as he handled the cash. His partner was assigned to enter the bank, retrieve the moneybags with Paige and place them into the back of the armored vehicle.

Also in the same parking lot that afternoon was a red Chevy van that cruised the area while the guards went inside the mall. The rear and side windows had been covered with plastic so no one could see inside. Inside the van was a man named Mutulu Shakur, 31, already a veteran of several armored car and bank robberies committed in the Bronx, Mt. Vernon, NY and Paramus, NJ. Shakur was an adopted name. His real name, or slave name as he described it, was Jeral Wayne Williams. He was a black nationalist who ran a financially corrupt acupuncture clinic in Lincoln Hospital in New York City, the first such clinic in the Bronx. Williams was an articulate and persuasive individual who recruited many disciples to follow him. Under the banner of black self-determination, he convinced his accomplices that it was up to them to seize funds from legitimate sources and "redistribute" the money to various black causes. With each robbery committed, the gang improved on its methods and became more sophisticated. They studied the reaction of guards and the police. They took the time to learn how police handled and investigated such crimes. Then, they made the appropriate adjustments on the next job.

"David J. Gilbert, 37, rented the vehicle that same day in the Bronx. Gilbert was a long time member of the Weather Underground and a fugitive from the state of Colorado where he faced charges of assault and possession of explosives. The passenger in the front seat of the U Haul was Kathy Boudin [another former Weather Underground member], on the run from the law since the townhouse explosion in 1970. The couple had dropped off their one-year old child with a babysitter in the morning and was waiting for the return of the red van."

"In the back of the red van were Cecilio 'Chui' Ferguson, 35, Samuel Brown AKA Solomon Bouines, 41, Samuel Smith AKA Mtayari Sundiata, 37, and Donald Weems AKA Kuwasi Balagoon, 35. There were others present, but it has never been proven who, or how many. All the men in back of the van were members of a group they called 'The Family.' Most of them had ties to the Black Panthers or the Black Liberation Army, radical political groups that had many violent confrontations with police during the 1970s."

"At approximately 3:55 p.m., Paige, a 24-year Brink's veteran and his partner, Joe Trombino, 48, exited the doors to the Mall rolling out the moneybags on a hand truck. They walked over to the Brink's truck and began to load up the bags onto the rear deck. Simultaneously, the red van pulled up and the rear doors swung open. One of the suspects, armed with a shotgun, ran to the front of the truck and immediately fired two blasts directly at the bulletproof windshield. The guard in the front seat ducked just in time and was unhurt.

Another suspect, wearing a ski mask, opened up with his M-16 automatic rifle before his feet even hit the pavement, striking Paige in the neck, arm and chest. He was killed instantly.

Joe Trombino fired just one shot before he was hit several times in his upper arm and shoulder. The bullets all but severed his arm off his shoulder. "I've got no arm!" he screamed. But Trombino would survive that day, only to perish years later in another terrorist attack at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001."

The Investigation

The suspects were often described as "urban terrorists" in the press and cops everywhere were deeply worried about the role of the Black Liberation Army.

The B.L.A. was a notorious and violent group of extremists who planned and carried out unprovoked shootings of uniformed police officers. During the 1970s and early 1980s, there were several of these types of killings of which the B.L.A. were suspect. On May 20, 1971, New York City Police Officers Joseph Piagentini and Waverly Jones were shot and killed in an ambush in Harlem. The following year, on January 28, 1972, officers Gregory Foster and Rocco Laurie were murdered outside a restaurant in Manhattan. Another such shooting occurred on the night of April 16, 1981 when uniform cops pulled over a suspicious van in the St. Alban's section of Queens. Without any warning, two men jumped out of the rear of the van with machine guns and opened up on the unsuspecting cops. Both were immediately killed. This cold-blooded killing enraged cops everywhere. A later investigation indicated that an escaped radical, Joannne Chesimard, one of the most sought after individuals in America, may have been in that van. She was serving a life sentence for her role in the murder of a New Jersey State trooper in 1973 when she escaped from custody in 1979. This theory was never proven, but to this day, many of the investigators who worked on that case believed it to be true.

"[Bernardine] Dohrn [Bill Ayers' co-terrorist wife] once was on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted List. She served seven months in prison for refusing to cooperate with a grand jury investigating a 1981 armored truck robbery in Nyack, N.Y., in which two police officers [and 1 Brinks guard] were killed."

"Officer Waverly Brown and Sergeant Edward O'Grady were shot and killed by heavily armed members of the Black Liberation Army who had just robbed a bank and were attempting to escape. The truck was stopped at a roadblock manned by several Nyack officers."

BRINKS KIN RIP JUDGE
By MARSHA KRANES

September 27, 2006 -- Outraged relatives of the two cops and a security guard slain in the 1981 Brinks armored-car heist blasted a federal judge yesterday for ordering that the woman convicted of driving the getaway car get a new trial.

"It defies comprehension. It defies logic," the son of slain Brinks guard Peter Paige said of the decision handed down by Manhattan federal Judge Shira Scheindlin.

Meet the Newest Member of the Faculty
Clinton pardons a terrorist, and now she's teaching in Clinton, N.Y.

BY ROGER KIMBALL
Friday, December 3, 2004

At Hamilton College--an elite liberal arts institution in Clinton, N.Y.--you can take courses in Roman civilization, Shakespeare and the "Emergence of Modern Western Europe, 1500-1815." All well and good. You can also take something called "Resistance Memoirs: Writing, Identity and Change." That last course--a month-long, half-credit seminar--is scheduled to begin next month. Its teacher is Susan Rosenberg, formerly of the Weather Underground.

Remember the Weather Underground? Its self-described revolutionaries, mostly middle-class, dedicated themselves to supporting radical black causes and tearing apart American society in the 1970s and early 1980s. In 1970, they blew up a townhouse when a bomb detonated prematurely and killed a few of their troops. Kathy Boudin, Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn and other high-profile members of the group spent the next decade or so running from the police and, some of them, continuing to pursue careers in criminal violence.

Ms. Rosenberg did her part. In October 1981, in an operation code-named "The Big Dance," several black radicals and members of the Weather Underground held up a Brinks armored car in Nanuet, N.Y. In the course of that act of domestic terrorism, they murdered Peter Paige, a Brinks guard, and police officers Edward O'Grady and Waverly Brown, the only black officer on the Nyack, N.Y., force. Ms. Rosenberg, then still at large, was indicted as an accessory.

According to John Castellucci's "The Big Dance," an account of the Brinks robbery, Ms. Rosenberg's role in the Brinks job was performing surveillance, driving a getaway car and transmitting orders. "Any white who had taken part in the robbery," Mr. Castellucci writes, "would have received orders from her."

Mr. Castellucci reports that the Brinks robbery was only one of several violent episodes that Ms. Rosenberg was involved with in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She was finally apprehended in November 1984 while unloading a cache of weapons--including 740 pounds of explosives--at a storage facility in Cherry Hill, N.J. ..."

What a f’n surprise!

Thanks to fools like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly, who rarely if ever get into it, I'll bet an awful lot of people would be surprised to learn that, not only were the Weather Underground closely linked with the Black Liberation Movement, but that they were allied with one another in a broad international revolutionary communist movement. Sean Hannity only refers to Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground as "unrepentant domestic terrorists" and, except for one very rare, special Friday night edition of Hannity's America, where he had on his show several guests who blew the lid off of it, Black Liberation Theology as espousing the "black values system". Since that program, Hannity has strangely gone back to completely ignoring this 'minor' detail again. And so I have no doubt whatsoever that if you were to ask most Americans what these groups and individuals were, and, in several cases, still about, they would never in a million years answer 'communist revolution'.

_________________________________________________________________________________

Bill Ayers TODAY (April 6, 2008), from his own red communist star-headed website, begging to debate communism vs capitalism with Sean Hannity and STILL calling for revolution!

"Imperialism. I’m against it, and if Sean Hannity and others were honest, this is the ground they would fight me on. Capitalism played its role historically and is exhausted as a force for progress: built on exploitation, theft, conquest, war, and racism, capitalism and imperialism must be defeated and a world revolution—a revolution against war and racism and materialism, a revolution based on human solidarity and love, cooperation and the common good —must win.

We begin by releasing our most hopeful dreams and our most radical imaginations: a better world is both possible and necessary.

"a better world is both possible and necessary"?

Looks to me like Bill Ayers stole (or borrowed) this phrase from Bob Avakian, chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party. Both the Weather Underground and RCP have roots in the radical Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) organization.

"The following is an excerpt from an historic talk by Chairman Bob Avakian, soon to be available on video and DVD from Three Q Productions-REVOLUTION: Why It's Necessary, Why It's Possible, What It's All About. This talk, delivered in 2003, followed by questions and answers, is a wide- ranging revolutionary journey, covering many topics."

"Ayers, now a tenured distinguished professor of education at UIC, works to educate teachers in socialist revolutionary ideology, urging that it be passed on to impressionable students.

One of Ayer's descriptions for a course called 'Improving Learning Environments' says prospective K-12 teachers need to 'be aware of the social and moral universe we inhabit and ... be a teacher capable of hope and struggle, outrage and action, teaching for social justice and liberation.

The Annenberg papers are quite extensive — 132 boxes containing 947 file folders with 70 linear feet of material. They undoubtedly contain more surprises regarding Obama's relationship with Ayers, one of many relationships Obama has sought to hide.'..."

When Dohrn and Ayers moved in one direction toward the violent tactics of the Weather Underground, Klonsky, in the wake of the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia, dropped the pro-Russian communist politics of his parents and became a committed Maoist. As leader of the Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) in 1977 [not to be confused with Communist Party USA. CPML no longer exists, CPUSA formed decades earlier and is still around-ETL], he travelled to Beijing and was toasted by the senior Beijing leadership.

When the crazy left of the 70s died in the 80s, Klonsky went to graduate school in education in Florida and then moved to Chicago.

While driving a cab there he [Michael Klonsky] was recruited by his old friend Bill Ayers to head up a new project called the Small Schools Workshop in 1991. It’s offices were in the Department of Education building at the University of Illinois Chicago Circle Campus where Ayers taught.

In 1995 the newly formed Chicago Annenberg Challenge headed by Ayers and Obama gave the Workshop a grant of $175,000.

The Annenberg Challenge also had its office space in the same building as Ayers Department and the Workshop, rent free courtesy of the University.

In 2008 Klonsky ran a blog on the official Obama campaign website on education policy and “social justice” teaching. When discussion of the Klonsky blog emerged in the blogosphere, it was promptly shut down by the campaign and all of the posts made by Klonsky were removed from the site."

In 1977, the October League was reorganized as the Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) [again, not Communist Party USA (CPUSA) -ETL] and former SDS activist Michael Klonsky became party chairman. Also in 1977, Klonsky traveled to China and the CPML was recognized by the Chinese Communist Party as its official sister party in America.

(snip)

In January 1981, Michael Klonsky resigned as party chairman, and the CPML disbanded that same year.

The previous Red Encyclopedia description of the CPML was incorrectly combined with that of the Communist Party USA (Marxist-Leninist).

thanks Lucy, that will keep me busy reading all weekend.

Who do you send? You. Your beard shaved, your hair cut close, and wearing a banker's suit.

Sounds like obama, doesn't it?
