The debates?
9/14/08 | Jack

The debates are around the corner. With John McCain taking a small lead in most national polls the debates have a significant role to play.

My question is, what may we expect to see? I have not had an opportunity to see McCain in a debate before. Will he take Obama to the woodshed, or will it be a toss up?

Second question, why is the media not reporting that the overseers of "Troopergate" are Obama supporters? Why are they still allowed to continue their current role in this considering that they are clearly biased towards Obama?

Third....who do you think has the "October surprise" for this election? I'm looking forward to your comments!

On a side note, I have a solid confirmation that the Obama campaign attempted to secure 70 rooms at the Meadowview Marriott Resort in Kingsport Tennessee for the last week of September. Obviously I can't reveal my source.

Kingsport is located just a few miles south of the Southern Virginia area, a vital demographic for Obama since he is attempting to garner support in this very pro-republican territory!

Mccain strives in free talk.
Obama has no teleprompter, will have to resort to giving the middle finger and saying “that is no true” and giving his patent snob look.

But of course Mccain will get the question “whats the GDP of Japan and what is its projected value in 34 years” which Mccain will get right of course.

Obama will get “Does your water have enough ice cubes?” which obama will respond “uh, uh, that is above my pay grade”

McCain is not a “home run” hitter. He usually plays “small ball” and wins. Obama might hit a “homerun” as long as the teleprompter holds up.

Other than Fred , Romney , and Huckabee , McCain was the best debater in the Republican primaries . However unless the debate format and moderators hamstring him somehow , he will slaughter Obambi .

Will he take Obama to the woodshed

Like a moose ready to be cleaned.

why is the media not reporting that the overseers of "Troopergate" are Obama supporters?

The MSM is biased. Shocka!

who do you think has the "October surprise" for this election?

They both do. The GOP's will be better.

Be assured. With the MSM moderating, Obamas team will have the questions beforehand.

Palin will be asked several questions about her religious beliefs and how she feels on certain cultural issues in an attempt by the media to show that she is an extremist.

Bush won all of his debates in 2000 because Al Gore sighed all the time. People elect a leader they can relate to, not an arrogant policy wonk.

I think the “October surprise” will be a joint US/Israel attack on Iran. It will bring our nation together and will ensure McCain’s election.

But, but, Obama said Iran was a tiny country that doesn’t post a serious threat?

I think the October surprise will be the number and effectiveness of the 527’s. We have seen Obama on the defensive and it was not pretty. Imagine how bad it will get when these ads start running.

I think McCain will do very well in the first debate (foreign policy/security) and he will hold his own in the last two and probably anger a few conservatives with some answers.

McCain ought to send Palin to the debate. If Obambi thinks that he can get away with running against her, then he ought to get the opportunity to debate her.

I bet he loses four or five inches of a$$ if he takes her head-on.

Everything will hinge on the questioner/questions.

McCain will have been coached to be more animated, but his forte' is fact and what seems to be a core set of values that more aligns with America than Obama. Overall, I expect McCain to win

Obama will be just a bit too hip and glib, and he may even stumble ... uh .. on some ... uh ... seemingly safe ... uh ... questions .. questions ... that .. uh ... questions that should .. uhhh ... be .. uh simple.

I don't expect a homerun on deliverance, but the content should be solid America from McCain

Obama will be his usual USSA self .. trying to convince America we should drop our capitalistic, representative Republic and ... welll ... he has a plan.

He has said so.

My prediction is that the Obama/McCain debates will be “boy vs. man.”

McCain is just way more seasoned, experienced, politically educated, mature, and has more integrity.

I think Obama will come off as inexperienced and immature.

I will parked in front of my tv to see if I’m right.
