The Obama Campaign is in Disarray By Jonah Goldberg

After running a brilliant and historic primary battle to defeat Hillary Clinton, the Obama campaign is now in disarray. Why?

Perhaps it's because Barack Obama has never run a competitive race against a Republican. After all, Obama won his U.S. Senate seat in Illinois by running against Alan Keyes, a fire-and-brimstone, right-wing black carpetbagger from Maryland (or perhaps Mars) who had no real ties to Illinois.

Now, facing John McCain's blistering ads, Obama seems unable to fight fire with fire. The Democratic rank and file are furious (while simultaneously denouncing McCain's negativity).

Obama, they may be realizing, doesn't know how to close the deal.

Nonetheless, the Obama campaign has vowed, once again, to take the gloves off and go after McCain hard, linking him to President Bush and highlighting the fact that the Arizona senator is out of touch.

Hussein won the nomination because the media gave him a free pass during the primary. Without media support, he’d still be just the junior Senator from Illinois and Hillary would be the nominee.

One of those sides needs to say ‘present’ for the 150 times he voted that way in the Illinois senate.

How does it serve Obob to run against a president who is already leaving office?

Bush’s coattails are so short they couldn’t be reached with a ladder.

This whole mess has devolved into a contest between MFMs; most favored minorities.

McCain and Biden could be playing pocket pool and nobody would notice.

Jacob Weisberg or Weinstein or whatever his name is a world-class opportunist shmuck. Probably a trial lawyer also.

We shouldn’t take anything for granted thinking Obama is down for the count.

Obama and Axelrod will play dirty, cheat and take this election by force Chicago style.
Election fraud will be Standard Operating Procedure...just watch it! Vote early and often...and don’t forget the dead vote.

Is this really true? Is that even possible in America?

My grand daughter has never fired a gun either. She doesn't like loud noises plus she's only 9 years old.

Except that we are now beyond that. Millions of people are planning on voting for Obama REGARDLESS of his questioned place of birth, personal history, background, friends, ex-friends, lack of "executive experience" (because a lot of people just don't get it and/or don't care), gaffes, use of teleprompters, poorly hidden sarcasm, lack of knowledge of U.S. history - it just goes on and on. They have hitched their proverbial wagons to the Obama-train NO MATTER WHAT happens. And the Republicans are the bad guys?

We are in a race beyond any other that I have ever experienced in my lifetime. I hope we win. I really hope we clean Obama's clock. I hope nothing bad happens between now and election day to prevent Senator McCain from taking the White House. It's very disheartening when all you hear is the MSM selling Obama, their guy, to everyone within earshot, and they are so BIASED it's beyond belief.

Are they teachers? In my neighborhood, the only people I see with Obama signs are teachers.

It WAS disheartening, until it became clear that MSM bias was actually driving voters to McCain. The best part is, the bias will only get worse as the election approaches! McCain/Palin in a landslide!

McCain/Palin ‘08! =:-D

I’m in a KS suburb. Kansas is red but I was surprised that in a 24 hour time period I saw about 10 houses go from no signs in their yards to Obama signs stuck out front. Now, they are wasting their money since they don’t have a chance for Obamarama taking Kansas. At least, not yet.

I don’t know. One house, 2 doors down, was just sold and the new folks recently moved in. I’m in an older neighborhood where a lot of folks start out then move south to larger, newer homes. Many Obama supporters, I suspect, are youngins that don’t know better. I just hope they aren’t transplants - we don’t need anymore libs from the west and east coasts moving in. RINOs are taking over Kansas and it is not a good thing. I loved the signs the KS delegates had at the convention, “Keeping Kansas Red.”

Obama has never “won” a campaign - period.

His modus operandi is to litigate the opposition off the ballot.

He can’t do either with McCain. His team are street fighters, not national campaigners. They are not “presidential” at all, that’s why we hear these rabid claims from them that people are “liars” and “smear merchants” - you don’t hear that from McCain, do you?

It’s the punks v the professionals here, guess who is going to win.

The reason you don’t see many McCain signs is because people are a little worried about vandalism and retaliation from crazy libs and gangs. One alternative is to use “Women for McCain” sign as it tempers the effect (more respect for da women). I expect to see more signs as we get closer to November.

Excellent idea - I thought leaving Los Angeles and moving home would allow me to have a sign, or even a bumper sticker, but not with all the angry, destructive libs around, even in my sleepy suburb. The only problem I have with a “Women For McCain” sign is that I don’t want anyone to think I was ever a Hillary fan, a feminist or voting for him just because he picked a woman for VP. LOL

It should be dead in the water. I can’t believe I scrolled halfway down the page of threads and nothing about Obamas’ treasonous behavior in Iraq this summer. I have been watching the news on TV and nothing there either. The media is too busy asking Governer Palin gotcha questions. This is very dissappointing that Obama has managed to slip out of another very serious situation.
