WASHINGTON - Despite an intense effort to distance himself from the way his party has done business in Washington, Senator John McCain is seen by voters as far less likely to bring change to Washington than Senator Barack Obama. Mr. McCain is widely viewed as a “typical Republican” who would continue or expand President Bush’s policies, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News Poll.

Is just what I feared, the bank mess and Charles Gibsons interview of Palin are hurting McCain? Or is this a skewed poll by the NYT?

The MSM/Drivebys are mounting an effort to convince people McCain is finished and he's a clone of the hated Bush!

New York Times. Of course John McCain is less likely to bring change, but don’t assume that 51% or more of the people really want change. Especially Obama’s kind of change.

McCain saying, himself, that the economies’ “fundamentals” are “strong” was a blunder. His later excuse he was talking about workers was weak.

I thought Palin did fine in the interview. I seriously don’t know why people think she did bad. MSM spin?

That's what I think too.

But you know that link to Bill Ayers is still hurting 0dumbo.... oh wait, the NYTimes is too busy covering for Gaffe Man's mistakes to actually involve themselves in any real journalism.

It’s the Rats trying to get McCain to throw President Bush under the bus, all to make themselves feel “validated.”

They couldn’t “get” Bush themselves, so they are hoping to see McCain “get” him.

At least this has been my opinion for a while now.

If th nYT and other Nationalist Media outlets had been doing their jobs and acurately reporting news, ot manufacturing it, Bush would be an asset.

Of course now that they have the mortgage and economic failures, they will continue their dishonest reporting and givethe real culprits a pass, while castigating Bush over what he tried to forestall long ago.

In the meantime, Middle Class America foots the bill, again.

The economy is strong. And I'm tired of candidates who rip down America just to win an election. If we do lose, so be it. We can at least show pride in our country. The other side can never ever find one good thing to say about her!

Palin did a good job with Gibson. Obama could only dream of doing that well. He is a stammering fool and he will be crushed in the McCain debates. With no teleprompter and millions watching, Obama will be exposed for the empty suit that he is.

No one pays attention to the NYT.

What they’re hoping is to back McCain into a corner. They hope that he will be damaged if he can be smeared with BDS, but they also hope he will be seen as disloyal if he disowns Bush.

McCain seems to be responding by refusing to gratify either of these wishes.

I just saw a poll that shows ambidextrous men are shifting to McCain in record numbers. This has the Obama camp concerned because that bloc was considered safe.

I just don't think polls mean that much today. The more obscure the poll, the more it reminds me of reading tea leaves.

If Obama's internal nubers guys showed him in control of the numbers and momentum, you simply wouldn't see the panic among the Democrat ilk as you see these days.

Sounds like apush poll to me. “McCain is like a “typical Republican”...

What sort of option is that? It’s begging for some of the repondents to answer like this.

We know Republicans are bullies, are racists, are sexists, hate children, bash immigrants, yip, yap, yahoo. If I had to listen to nothing but the MSM/Drivebys 24/7 I might have to believe the worst of them. Apparently, some people do.

My personal prediction: We have a long way to go yet. When it gets closer and the decision who is best to lead our nation, after the debates...and can America truly, truly, elect a radical, Jeremiah Wright raised, junior black Senator from Chicago that did not vote 130 times...BUT voted present, that was wrong on the surge working, instead demanded/preached WE SHOULD WITHDRAW...will not get the vote, especially with a wife that hates America like Michelle. More Dems will stay home than vote in a radical black no experienced Obama. I found out just tonight 5 relatives in a friends family that normally vote Dem absolutely said they will not vote. I would rather Dems not vote than vote O. I live in the SW and as it gets closer to that vote....O will NOT be voted in. Too many will not show up.

The media has, along with the Dhimmicrats, sought to paint an exaggerated picture of President Bush. A lot of people see Bush as a man we like and respect and who we could trust not to disrespect our Oval Office with nastiness. Many lies and misrepresentations have been delivered about him by the MSM and the Democrats in Congress, who have a much lower “approval” rating than President Bush.
