Josh Howard Of The Dallas Mavericks Curses The National Anthem And Invokes Barack Obama!

Hey, Chris Paul, Kobe, Chris Bosh, Lebron and others would disagree with you. They celebrated like kids winning the Gold Medal in Beijing. They talked of patriotism and representing their country.

And one of the most touching parts of that victory? Right after the buzzer, and shaking the hands of the opponent, they went over to TNT announcer Doug Collins, part of the 72 Olympic team that got jobbed by the USSR (more by the officials than by the team), and included HIM in the win. I was a puddle when I saw that. Very classy.

And I am a male American-born black conservative Republican. (the first three, by birth; the second two, by choice)

That “Black Anthem” song makes me ill. Considering that over 350,000 white men died to end slavery, not to mention the countless who fought to gain our independence...not excluding the world wars, vietnam, korea, and iraq...there is a lot to be thankful for. Disrespecting the National Anthem is simply ridiculous and treasonous at the very least in my opinion. Where else can you play a sport or rap and make 10 million a year? Of course, thats about 10 million more than our fighting men and women make putting their lives on the line everyday!

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban told the Dallas Morning News that the team dealt with Howard after the incident.

"That said, we will be going through some advanced communication-skill sessions together this training camp," Cuban said. "I have explained to him that cellphone cameras are not your friend and that what you think you said on camera is never what people will hear when it shows up on YouTube or TV."

The national anthem incident was just the latest episode for Howard, who in July also was arrested for speeding (94 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone), careless and reckless driving. He has a court date scheduled for September 23.

During last season's playoffs, Howard also admitted he is an occasional marijuana user.

If Josh Howard were smart, he’d claim to have been baked while trashing the national anthem. Blame weed for his most recent bout of idiocy.

Of course, what we are learning is he isn’t smart.

And about the only people looking more stupid than him at this moment are the Dallas Mavericks for not trading his dumb butt when he had value. Like say for Pau Gasol or really anybody halfway decent, which is unlikely now.
