"Can you imagine such fiscal geniuses such as Pelosi, Boxer, Reid, Conyers, Murtha and Bimbo Biden involved in “saving” the economy?"

"It would be the mother of all Titanic’s."

Sure I can.

Would you mind moving you deck chair just a little to the right? There are some of us sitting in the back row who are trying to get a better look at the ice berg that precipitated all of this!

This is all because conservatives wanted Hastert's head over Mark Foley.

Oh, to have Hastert in there at this moment instead of this witch!

The more partisan this becomes the more the markets will struggle this week. Probably a good idea to keep some cash on hand.

I’m already having visions of an oversight committee co-chaired by Chris Dodd and Charlie Rangel.

“I’m beginning to think this whole thing is just a form of back-door reparations.”

Your observation may very well be a valid one. It seems like the Democrat-controlled Congress do whatever they want that way - sort of like legislating from the bench. McCain told them over two years ago this mess was going to happen if it wasn’t dealt with, and he put forward legislation in an attempt to avoid it. Democrats just blocked it at that time, like they’ve been doing all along. Just plain rotten. We haven’t seen anything yet if Hussein is elected.

Didn’t you hear the news....Pelosi said to the press that the Democrats are totally innocent of this financial debacle.

Yeah...right....sure.

Let’s not forget all those above ground cemeteries that Ike and Gustof flooded. The dead lost their home, and, they are voters too.

Do you think the Bolshecrats will withdraw in the coming civil war.

Good idea. The house of cards may be coming down and it's all going to fall on "main street".

Pelosi is betting on the Republicans not letting it all crumble. Sadly she may win this hand, but in the end we are all going to loose this game.

Translation: “We need a bipartisan solution to this problem. So, listen, you evil Republicans, it’s my way or the highway!”

IOW, we want a bill w/ riders containing every conceivable piece of socialist pap imaginable including a hunting season on Conservative boobs who stand in the way of our quest to create the Socialist States of America.

Uh-Oh. Not good news.

If it's her way, the markets will tank.

If she doesn't get her way she will stonewall everything and the markets will tank.

The Dems think they can blame this on Bush and McCain. They plan to ride this crisis all the way to the White House, or the complete blowup of the financial system - whichever comes first. My bet is on the complete blowup.

Either one. They don't care. This is "Bush's Watch".

Nancy is an utter, corrupt fool. She and her buddies plan to take the country down with them. They see this as the opportunity to gain complete political power.

They don't care if America is in ashes as long as they control the ashes.

Pelosi is playing a crazy game of brinkmanship here. If this legislation doesn't pass this week we likely have another Great Depression.

The last time this happened, FDR was elected and socialism took root in the United States. We are still living with the economic fallout of the social state. Maybe she thinks this is the end game so she's going for broke?

I don't think liberals today actually think that big. They are just looking at the current crisis as a way to grab some more power. Allowing them to cement their gains they are expecting in Nov.

The argument has already been lost, with so many republicans going along with this, they have agreed to throw whats left of capitalism in this country "under the bus". Even if there are some Reps that try to stop this, this will still all be pinned to Greedy Republicans, no matter the reality and no matter what happens. Even if the Bailout is successfully stopped, the resulting (and nessacary) slowdown maybe even an ugly crash, will be blamed on Republicans. If the Bailout goes through, its not going to really solve anything, and probably make it worse. The solution will inevitably be bigger and more involved government.
