The reverse of the ABC/Washington Post poll! Just don't look for this one to be headlined in the MSM!

That's amusing. I thought McCain was in the tank because of the economic strife?

Is it time to panic yet?

:-)

Poll watching is bad for my health, yet I do it anyway.

So much for the ABC- Wash Compost PUSH POLL propaganda.
What drives me crazy is that the Compost races to get there lies out on the AP wire and resubmit it over and over again just like good Obama media whores.

Wait a minute. That’s not fair. Everyone knows any legitimate poll needs to sample Dems at least 7% more than republicans. /s/

B-b-b-but the Wapo/ABC poll says it is Barry Hussein 112%, McPalin 4%.

How can this be?

This is the first time McCain is leading since the GOP convention and since the Wall Street meltdown last week! Its within the MOE of course its more believable than the other poll. We'll see if there's any change over the next day heading into the first debate on Friday.

this company is a partnership of one republican pollster and one democrat and very well respected in the polling circles.

the wash poop/ abc poll is garbage (internals breakdowns are a fraud) and should be thrown under the bus.

I agree. They have to create a perception that Obama is ahead, because he has no chance otherwise.

The MSM will ignore it. You know good news like this, by definition does NOT exist. They will say they're right and this is the outlier.

Good. After all the hand wringing this poll presents a perfect opportunity for folks truly concerned about the future of our country to find a close Congressional race (or Senate or gubernatorial) to support, financially and/or by volunteering your time. This link highlights GOP House pick-up opportunities in PA and throughout the country, and includes campaign websites.

Lake/Terrance has a very good reputation. They tell it like it is and seems to be on the money.

The ABC/WAPO poll was an outlier. I think a purposefully crafted one to drum up enthusiasm for Obama and deflate us in the McCain camp. This race is close but people DO NOT believe big government is the answer. That is why huge majority DOES NOT support the bailout plan. That should be a testament more than any other to why McCain should stand up against this. I’d recommend he head back to Washington. Sarah can handle the campaigning. She is tough and her favorability ratings are still higher than all the other candidates in the race. Let her prove her metal.

This is good news, as most of the older polling data has worn off. All of the polls are pretty consistent in that it’s nearly exactly even... Even the ABC/WashPost poll, when adjusted for the same party weighting as Ras (39D/34R/27I), woykd show Zero up by 4, and when you see the internals, you’ll notice the indies are heavily weighted to D, as well, so that’s good for another 2 or so... That poll, if treated fairly, would have Zero up by 1 or 2, not the 9 they’re pushing.

Hopefully by posting on FreeRepublic at least it stops us from having a heart attack today! Oh, and it should assure all of us that we are correct in the TRUE picture of this election...not one cooked by MSM. I will await to see the rest of the polls coming in. Have a feeling the Washington Post/ABC poll was anticipating this trend back to McCain and that is why their cooked up poll came in late yesterday. Not a good way to start the day...but this poll definitely is showing the MSM wrong!!!!!!

If you did nothing else here, but apply Ras' percentages (R34/D39/I27), then the numbers are 49%-45%... Also, if you look at the underlying internals, most of the indies are lefty leaning, so that's good for another 1 or 2%... So, that brings us to nearly a tie...

I'm not too bent out of shape on the poll numbers, per se, cause they don't tell the whole story; however, the MSM is clearly trying to create an air of invincibility for Zero

The silver lining is... if McCain can take command in the debates, the next poll could show a huge swing towards McCain, and a Momentum shift.
