(CNN) Prominent conservative columnist Kathleen Parker, an early supporter of Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin, said Friday recent interviews have shown the Alaska governor is "out of her league" and should leave the GOP presidential ticket for the good of the party.

There is clearly more to Parker’s inept assessment than just the fact that Sarah Palin may have been hesitant on two questions Couric asked of her. If, in fact, she was unprepared, it is more the fault of the GOPer “experts” than Sarah. It’s their responsibility to prepare the briefing books. I’d say Ms Parker is pursuing some sort of hidden political agenda.
The only part of this article that really disappointed me is the reference to George Will turning on Sarah. I expected much more of him.
As many of you no doubt noticed, I have been less than impressed with Palin: beyond good looks and a decent storyline, there is not much there.
I wonder, how much street cred does Kathleen Parker have with Freepers? What do you all think?
I read Parker’s column and think CNN pretty much repeated what she said...
You knew this was coming. They couldn’t slice and dice her with anything in her past so now they are trying to put doubts in conservative and Republicans minds.
DON’T BUY THIS....CNN...C’mon...
I’m not a Palin supporter, but she is McCain’s choice and on the ticket. There is no reason I can see why she should step down, and if she did that would probably cost McCain the election.
And I'm sick and tired of the chattering classes throwing Conservatives overboard, it makes me slightly nauseous and suspicious as well.
Kathleen Parker?? Prominant?? I never heard of this *itch. I bet she only became “Prominant” after she went turncoat.
Sarah isn’t going anywhere but UP!
They want Hillary to step in. Sarah is just what we need!
CNN has a long history of hiring “conservatives” who are anything but.
Prominent? I’ve never heard of her.
Kathleen Who???

This dumb a** should step down.
Parker is not “prominent”.
"Prominent conservative columnist Kathleen Parker"
Prominent? Kathleen Parker? Never heard of her. And even if I had I wouldn't give 2 cents for her opinion of Gov Palin.
As far as I'm concerned, the only opinion that's important as to who I vote for.... is my own opinion. And I'm voting for Gov Sarah Palin!
“Prominent conservative columnist Kathleen Parker...”
The most “prominent conservative” that they could get to beat up Palin.
well, kathleen, I disagree.......and I do get to vote.
oh.. now we see what it comes down to is abortion.
This Parker is pro-choice!
