From MyFoxToledo Reports
WHITEHOUSE, Ohio -- From the helicopter you can see it clearly, Republican vice-presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's face in a corn maze (video: MyFoxToledo).
Duke Wheeler of Whitehouse, Ohio, who owns the Butterfly House and surrounding farm, said he did it to bring people to the farm this fall.
"She created a lot of excitement and we would like to see a lot of excitement out here at the maze," Wheeler said.

Yes, he knew what he was doing didn’t he. I’ll bet he pulled string to make a grid during the process.
Good deal...
“If you build it, they will come.” “Sarah America”.. I love the sound of it!
Too cool!
Thank you.
As the farm appears in MapQuest.
Some of you may be interested in the above post. It does not show the Palin corn field graphic. It’s a before shot.
That’s not far at all from the Toledo Airport. Pretty easy access off of I-80.
Oooohhh!
My bet is that he took a photo, used a computer to convert it to a line drawing, then overlaid the image on a map of the field, then used that map on a GPS navigator to drive through the corn.
I don’t know that area at all, but backing out I was able to see the area on the map, and you are exactly right. It appears to be a little over two miles south of the Toledo Express Airport.
Thanks for the mention.
Beautiful!
They’re looking for a mudhole to scrape out an image of Katie Couric.
That’s an interesting premise Ramius. At the current time, it’s my understanding that the GPS system is only accurate to within ten feet. I’m not sure it would be accurate enough to accomplish the task here, but I wouldn’t totally rule it out.
LOL!
I thought only ALIENS could create such geometrical impossibilities with their advanced knowledge./s
yeah, me too. What is this all about?
It is probabaly Bush’s fault. (\s)
Thanks, DoughtyOne. It’s BIG. How many acres do you suppose?
It wasn't an easy process.
"We contracted with an artist in Idaho who drew the picture and entered it into a GPS system, flew in and cut it with a John Deere tractor," Wheeler said. "It took him about 8-10 hours to cut it. We saw it from the helicopter it's just a great image of her. I think she'd be proud."
Wheeler expects thousands to come out and check out the corn maze, Butterfly House, and other activities he has planned for the season.
Wild guess, 2.5 to 5. Perspective is tough in a shot like this, it may be as much as ten, but I don’t think so.
Check post 37 out.

I think it’s a lot bigger. I had 6 acres, flat like this. Am looking at that view...not nearly the land in the article.
Look at the long row of trees on the side...those are big trees.
Anyway, I hope everyone that flies out of the nearby airport sees it!
