Why the f— couldn't they wait until after tonight's debate? Michigan outside of Detroit is Palin country. If she kicks butt, it could've been in play.

The Obamessiah shifted his resources (where were all our handwringers then? Were they crowing that Obama was doomed?) from Georgia into NC. He’s still making a run at NC, which went for Bush by 12 points four years ago.

OldBill has everything all figured out.

Seldom right, but never in doubt.

Polls show McCain has been closing the gap in Maine, although his best polls there were when he was getting his Palin bounce:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/me/maine_mccain_vs_obama-608.html#polls

I expect it doesn’t cost much to run some ads there- worth a try even for one electoral vote.

Trading Michigan for Maine doesn’t sound like a great deal to me.

“is Michigan that much of a lost cause???”

Yes it is!

Oh, but were you referring to it electorally?

Its time for Sen McCain and Gov Palin to take the gloves off and go after Obama-Biden on the ONE issue that can get the GOP ticket a victory. That issue is, ideology. So far most everything in the McCain strategy has been unsuccessful. The bipartisanship effort has gone absolutely nowhere. The McCain campaign has to attack the liberalism of Obama-Biden. Otherwise, they’ll lose.

“Though I think shifting troops to Ohio is a bad sign”

Early voting.

Maybe all the Michigan Republicans should be bussed to the YMCA in Toledo, Ohio to take advantage on the new rules that allow just about anyone to register and vote on the same day.

Because, they’re trying to make this debate a turning point in the campaign and want to get any extraneous bad news out of the way first.

The best pickup shots were always New Hampshire and Pennsylvania

And Wisconsin!

Remember the 50-state (or 57, but who's counting) strategy? His attraction in the south because of the large percentage of black voters?

Yeah that lasted about a week. I can point you to about 20 states that Obama couldn't carry under any circumstances. Any money he spent there was wasted, and it took him all of a week or so to realize that.

It is a real possibility that McCain and Obama will split the electoral votes 269-269. That ONE electoral vote gives the election to McCain 270-268.

I have noticed that Freepers still panic everytime the media opens its collective mouth even after stating they don’t believe anything the media says. Kind of ironic.

I will be glad to give the McCain campaign a listing of the TV stations and cable providers in Ohio, since they don't appear to have one. Ditto for the radio stations.

Try advertising. It works. I also know some property management companies so you could try opening some headquarter offices in some high-traffic areas. Actually staffing the offices is up to you, but in a pinch we have a lot of temp agencies. It's better than a locked door.

Well..considering Detroit, I’d say yes.

I’ve never felt like he could win in MI. I think PA is a better chance.
