Freepers, Great Americans , et al.

Don't worry about the polls please. There is no doubt that Obama enjoyed a nice momentum shift during September and is probably up nationally between 3-5%.
We are now entering a momentum shift of our own during the final stretch and we will peak at the perfect time. McCain team is finally on the attack, Palin now has credibility after a fantastic debate performance, and we have plenty of 527s that are ready to unload.
Lets get to work!

They NEED to come up with a strong economic countermessage for the debate. Simple as that

Yes, this is true, and hit the dems hard on F & F.

Carter and Reagan were neck and neck, with Carter considered the probable winner. Reagan won in a landslide with a 10 point lead.

Today, it's politically correct to say you're for Oboma to avoid being tagged a "racist", but once your in the voting booth, you can freely express yourself without politically correct intimidation.

McCain has nothing to lose but go negative.

It starts tomorrow night. We will know .

But if it comes out that Wall Street was set up by Left Wing forces to tank the markets and Help Obama, there will be a Civil War.

Are you remembering that all of the oversight agencies are in the executive branch controlled by a Republican President? No, the "people" were indeed "set up", but it was done in a "bipartisan" way.

Do you all not remember 2004 when the polls did the same thing in October for Kerry? How about exit polls showing Kerry was winning. Short memories around here by some folks.

The only difference is Bush had a good economy in '04. Today, it's collapsing as we type.

Me to, but Obama is alleged to have large illegal contributions, and given what I know about the likes of Soros and Buffet and the mentality of leftists who have no regard for rules for themselves, I’m inclined to believe it.

One thing’s for sure. An Obama win will translate into a Republican Congress in 2010 when the voters finally realize Obama’s a leftist.

The central question is this, and I am not sure that GOPers want to face it: Americans all over the country are asking what is the justification for electing John McCain president? With the economy in the toilet, unemployment up and the GOP in charge of the White House, those Americans that rarely watch politics except for every four years are not seeing a reason to vote for the GOP ticket, not with the world around them so uncertain. And, I might add that voting for Sarah Palin or against Barack Obama isn’t good enough to win the argument. In such an anti-GOP environment, I would argue that John McCain has done probably about as well as any GOPer could do this cycle. Regretfully, his best isn’t good enough to win, imo. When our best argument is ‘look at the polling breakdown of Dems vs. GOPers’ you know that our side is in trouble. Obama is making mince meat of McCain and of the GOP.

Let me add, that I will never give up on McCain. I will fight for him and Palin to the bitter end. But, he really needs a solid economic plan.... badly.

“Did you ask President Kerry about the accuracy of the polls?”

This is subjective, but I don’t remember it ever seeming like a Kerry win was unavoidable. Without a big surprise, I can’t even imagine Obama losing.

I agree, and many like RAS had Bush in a landslide in 2000.

McCain has to go full barrels tomorrow night and change the game. The Bradley will give 3%, but not 8%

This map shifted because of these wild outlier polls by
Quininpac which gave Obam these crazy leads by 10 to 15 points .
Quininpac is the JOKE of the polling world.
These polls were financed and tweeked by the British Socialists at Reuters!
When you allow outlier Garbage polls to be averaged in then you get average Garbage !

Great news! I hope McCain's collapse also translates into 60+ Democratic senators in January to help President Obama pass his agenda. Finally, we have hope for a President who will take responsibility for his actions, unlike the multiple failures America has endured over the past 7.5 years.

That has got to be one of the stupidest posts I've ever seen on FR.

Anyone who would cheer an Obama presidency and the resulting socialistic policies that would ensue, not to mention the opportunity to appoint extreme liberals to the Supreme Court has a god*amn screw loose.
