A retired Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice says that she is "not confident we can get a fair election" in the state come November.
Justice Sandra Newman, accompanied by Dauphin County District Attorney Edward Marsico and Pennsylvania Republican State Chairman Robert Gleason, expressed her concerns at a Harrisburg press conference this morning. A thick document replete with photo copies of phony registrations and aerial shots of vacant lots used as "addresses" for "voters" was handed out to journalists.
Gleason was even more explicit.
"Between March 23rd and October 1st, various groups, including ACORN, submitted over 252,595 registrations to the Philadelphia County Election Board" with 57, 435 rejected for faulty information. "Most of these registrations were submitted by ACORN, and rejected due to fake social security numbers, incorrect dates of birth, clearly fraudulent signatures, addresses that do not exist, and duplicate registrations. In one case, a man was registered to vote more than 15 times since the Primary election."
"Voter fraud is no longer just a Philadelphia problem," Gleason said, with ACORN targeting key counties across the state.

The article says 57,000 of 250,000 have been thrown out. Probably need to throw out a lot more,especially when you count the ones that have been registered in the past and are still on the rolls. Amazing how dead people can get up and make it to the polls and mail those absentee ballots!
I have a question. We have all these people registered to vote whose address is a vacant lot, registered multiple times etc etc.
That adds to the list of registered voters, but there is no PERSON attached to those registrations to actually cast a vote, so how can this skew the election? I know I am going to feel really dumb when I get an answer but I just can’t figure out how that can be turned into votes.

Maybe the policy has changed, but I think it originally was to ensure people were confident in pulling out and using their card without being hassled. Also, the security is better if you’re not giving license info, etc., to the retail clerk who has your card.
When you think how these elections turn on a few hundred votes in a few states, it really is amazing what’s being perpetrated.

The idea is someone is gonna use them to vote and many locations. Stuffing the ballot box.
That is why it is so important to have a PICTURE ID and a valid registration to match before allowed to vote.
We are too lax — if proven fraudulent. Seize all records and prevent their use!!
In my 55 years of living in PA, I was never once asked for any ID when I went in to vote. Name and address was sufficient.
I was pleased to see in the 2004 general election that we had to provide photo ID at the polls here in rural MD. No one grumbled about it either. I personally think that should be a requirement to vote (tax bill receipt would be even better, but I realize that goes against the constitution .... )

You know... He probably engineered it this way on purpose - anything to cause more disruption, more strife, and to TAKE power rather than EARN it. Just another form of entitlement mindset.

That’s not what I was taught as a cashier, or what I taught my cashiers as a Supervisor when I worked in retail. We were to always check the signatures on the cards with the signature on another form of identification.

Checking signatures, yes. Taking driver license #’s and such, if I recall correctly, wasn’t permitted.
Checking signatures, yes, but from the card to the signed receipt. This may have changed, and maybe it changed before you worked as a cashier.
