Stealing Pennsylvania: Judge says "Massive Fraud" (ACORN at it again)
Copyright 2008, The American Spectator ^ | Published 10/10/2008 4:09:45 PM | By Jeffrey Lord

A retired Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice says that she is "not confident we can get a fair election" in the state come November.

Justice Sandra Newman, accompanied by Dauphin County District Attorney Edward Marsico and Pennsylvania Republican State Chairman Robert Gleason, expressed her concerns at a Harrisburg press conference this morning. A thick document replete with photo copies of phony registrations and aerial shots of vacant lots used as "addresses" for "voters" was handed out to journalists.

Gleason was even more explicit.

"Between March 23rd and October 1st, various groups, including ACORN, submitted over 252,595 registrations to the Philadelphia County Election Board" with 57, 435 rejected for faulty information. "Most of these registrations were submitted by ACORN, and rejected due to fake social security numbers, incorrect dates of birth, clearly fraudulent signatures, addresses that do not exist, and duplicate registrations. In one case, a man was registered to vote more than 15 times since the Primary election."

"Voter fraud is no longer just a Philadelphia problem," Gleason said, with ACORN targeting key counties across the state.

Oh, I completely agree with you! :) I just didn’t want to see you feel slighted. Just ask those who know me - I ask tons of questions, and sometimes even more than once! ;) I am a firm believer in “There is no such question as a stupid question”. If I made you feel otherwise, I apologize. :)

As for Obama, I’ve got four daughters, and I don’t want them to endure what my husband’s family endured in Poland under the likes of Hitler, and Stalin! No thank you.

God bless you and thank you for YOUR sacrifices as a family with loved ones overseas. I’m always praying for our troops and that of course includes your loved ones, too! :)

Maybe — but enough to swing a Presidential election, probably not. My problem with this whole ACORN thing coming out of the McCain campaign is -

1. It reeks of desperation. If this isn’t new, why are they bringing it up now. Why not in August or July, when it could have gotten more traction? Well ... maybe because it’s a bogus argument. I’m a Freeper and I’m skeptical - what can we expect of the electorate.

2. It looks like an attempt to deligitimize Obama’s victory (if it comes to that). That seems a little unAmerican to me. If he wins, we accept it and move on. Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but I think our political system needs cohesion. Nixon didn’t contest the 1960 election and that one was closer than the 2008 appears to be.

No more Right verses Left! Its Capitalism verses Socialism now and people better wake up and understand the Importance of the Difference. Remember Maxine Waters, during a hearing, blurted out that they (Democrats) were going to Nationalize American Oil Companies. That was No Accidental Gaffe!

I guess I am saying — having time to think it over — that this whole ACORN accusation is irresponsible. Not what a conservative would cling to, IMHO. If the election goes against us, so be it.

If the election goes against us and it’s because of ACORN....kiss America good bye.....if you can’t stand up and fight for something...well...that’s your choice. ACORN has been working on this for years and years.....it’s just that NOW they’re really making inroads....with their accomplices in Congress....

Oddly enough there was a Sandy Newman who was described as a lawyer for Project Vote. Probably not the same though.

Do you recall anything more about the campaign person or Obama and what was said regarding proposal of “joint” governing directly after the election?

No, I don't. I believe it was posted here on FR. I am self-employed and frequently do my work at odd pre-dawn hours, so I may have seen it at a time when not a lot of other people were likely to see it. I was surprised that there wasn't more comment on it, in any case, and I put it out of my mind because nobody else seemed bothered by it. But with the events of recent days, plus things I have read about the Obama/Odinga Kenya tactic, it seems much more signifcant.

John Ashcroft gave up his Senate seat to a dead man. He doesn't have any credibility on this subject.

Yes, thank you. I just had no idea that people could go to the polls and vote without proving who they are. That makes no sense to me. One person said they will be working at the polls and be watching, but what can they watch for? Someone comes in, says I am so and so and gives an address, she has no way of checking to see if that address is legit or determining if that person is who they say they are. Seems to me once the voting starts its all over.

The " Masses" of America are not the "Masses " of Kenya.

I'd feel more convinced of this if my very own 30-something well-paid union-member son hadn't told me he was voting for Obama because Obama was going to "give him things." I couldn't believe it.

I pointed out that election promises are worth exactly the paper they are written on, and in addition, if Obama really does "give him something," it can only be because the government took it away from him first.

There are a lot of people in my son's age group who went through public school, were indoctrinated, and are now flocking to the messiah because he's going to "give them something." Mind you, they're not badly off right now. But they have been so brainwashed that they live with a sullen lumpenproletariat resentment, even though they are actually average well-paid, protected American workers.

My big regret is that I didn't homeschool.

My big regret is that I didn't homeschool.

Well I have the same problem in a sense. Both drank too much Kool Aid in College, and went through without taking a single History Course.

Well , let them live with tyranny for a while then. But the fact is that we woke up a little late on WWII. We had the same things happening in Europe that happen here now.And we had tremendous liberal inertia to overcome then. The US public had to see a few pictures of what the fascists in Europe were doing. It will happen here if Nazobumster gets elected. Then things will change. This election is our last chance to avoid the suffering America is about to experience. And the youth will have to live under it to wake up. Wake up they will though, even if a little late.

Now the latest generation , those who attended high school 2000 on, are not like the indoctrinated ones of previous years. They do not accept the standard indoctrination in school. So its a complex situation.

I wish my son, now 28, had served with the military.

My friend, I hear you ... and I, too, wish that ACORN was better managed.

The problem is that ACORN PAYS unemployed people to register voters. This is the problem, right there. These people -- many of whom are the worst possible characters -- cheat - they make up names and addresses and collect a paycheck. Funded by us the taxpayer, yes! This practice needs to STOP

But, remember, they are ALSO committing fraud against ACORN; that's who is paying them for "real" registrations. Many of the investigations against these registrations have been initiated by ACORN itself.

But to say the election will be lost because of ACORN stretches the point. Fraudulent registrations are caught at many checkpoints - ACORN's lame quality assurance catches some and the registar catches most of them. Even if a registration passes all these checkpoints, someone still needs to show up and vote.

This does not explain the margin between McCain and Obama.

I think McCain didn’t bring it up earlier because it actually would have looked unfair and desperate at that time, and in addition, the full scope wasn’t known. Granted, all Freepers knew what was going on, but there’s a gap between that and legal proof.

The delegitimization is being done by Obama. This is all setting the stage for neutralizing his loss. Odinga, coached by Obama and Ayers, did exactly the same thing in Kenya and ended up as “co-president” with the candidate who actually won the election. All this after a number of riots and horrendous slaughters of his opponent’s party members, of course.

Nixon’s election was almost 50 years ago, and the Dems have changed a lot since then. You’re quite naive if you think this is the same old Dem party of yore.

Here’s the transcript of Mayor Street and Chris Matthews discussing the ‘turn out the vote’ campaign in 2004.

“We will distribute—we have distributed to our party workers probably between—between $750,000 and $1 million, and that will probably be doubled or tripled by the other efforts that are going on.”

My son did serve in the military, and was going to make a career of it until the Clinton-imposed changes began to affect him. He couldn’t take the PC and left and went to work in private industry.

But now he seems to have forgotten all his earlier experiences. Granted, he lives in California and has been the member of one of the most powerful unions for 12 years now. He’s subject to Dem indoctrination morning, noon and night. But even so it depresses me that he would be such a fool that he is being bought out because he thinks Obama is going to “give him things.” Where did I go wrong???

The Dems have always been corrupt, but we’re in a whole different ballgame now. We have never been subjected to the European-originated international leftist pressure techniques that the Dems are using now. Telling people that calling attention to these things is a sign of desperation sounds to me just the tiniest bit troll-like.

We have to call attention to this and get the legitimate authorities to fight back. This is different from anything that has happened to us before.

I insisted on them teling me what they learned everyday etc. There was none of that ‘how was school, “fine mom” end of conversation stuff at our house. I read all their books, all their tests, homework etc. LOL, they had some interesting debates with their teachers:) But they learned how to stand up for what was right and to reject what was wrong.

My grandchildren are homeschooled and I am glad, mostly because I don’t want them exposed to their “piers”. They are going to learn nothing good from them:(

This election is going to end up before the Supreme Court again.

That's possible, but I doubt it. McCain will win with such a landslide that no amount of voter fraud will compensate. That this will be so is no longer in dispute among the MSM.

I mean, think about it. How may Democrats do you know who will never vote for Obama? Obama's supporters consist only of racist blacks, leftwing nutcases, and some guilty whites. An Obama win with that support is not in the cards.

My point is that Obama's only hope is that he pulls off the Kenyan 2-step that he helped Odinga successfully do in Africa -- to take control of government through violence after the election is "stolen" from him. The stage is currently being set for that to happen.

There is an investigation, and the FBI is raiding offices all over the place right now... Word is through Hillary supporter’s websites is that there is a RICO investigation underway and it could even name Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and Dean. There may be time left yet... They’ve got 13 states so far, and found this everywhere, and this is an organization with ties that reaches back a very long time. Patrick Fitzgerald in Chicago, IL is seemingly tacking states on to his evidence already collected in previous investigations of ACORN. This is where Obama worked for them, and sued the banks to force them to make the bad loans that started this whole economic crisis. This is also where a lot of donations came in and out of Obama’s campaign. [I’d look up FR Keyword Fitzgerald if you want more info. on it]

I was talking to a friend yesterday who moved here from Kenya. He was a wealthy factory owner. His family lived in a walled compound and always traveled with body guards. He has told stories of tens of thousands of dollars in bribes to local officials to keep his business afloat. He moved here over a decade ago to keep his family safe. He gave up his wealth and position to be a security guard in America (he now manages a major office complex) and he has never regretted it.

Most people don't realize how much poverty and tyranny occurs in these countries before violence breaks out. I don't think that is possible here. America is not prone to mass insurrection. There are certain elements that would agitate for riots, but the vast majority of Americans would recoil in horror at the prospect.

It is not “Un-American” to participate in Federal Investigations for a while if there is such wide spread corruption in the system. Perhaps they didn’t have proof. There is a chance that the rumor about Obama’s buddy Rezko is true — he could be singing like a canary, so to speak, right now. His sentencing has been delayed and I read on another thread that there is a rumor he is speaking to federal authorities in a sentencing arrangement of some sort. It would seem that either those in charge didn’t realize how bad the problem was, didn’t believe the charges, and thought 3rd parties and such were making it up, or those in charge didn’t care, and those who cared couldn’t stop it at that point. And now, it would appear that they are at least trying to stop him.

There is a good chance that the FBI has solid evidence that ACORN and Obama are linked right now, and he may be indicted. There are many threads here that explain the entire connection.
