The Sun Times today gave a major clue that Barack Obama will indeed go down with Tony Rezko, sooner rather than later. It looks as though Rezko is about to turn on Alexi Giannoulias, the 30-year old State Treasurer of Illinois (who was elected only because Obama backed him).

Gerald Ford would have won if he kept his promise to Paul Hall, President of the Seafarers International Union, AFL-CIO.
Ford had promised to support cargo preference legislation that would have required 20% (40%?) of all petroleum products imported into US be shipped in American built and American crewed tankers (not a good piece of legislation IMHO). Hall, also an AFL-CIO vice president and supporter of President Nixon to the very end was prepared to support Ford. Ford killed the legislation with a pocket veto after promising to support it. Hall was to say the least upset and swung the entire maritime industry including east coast longshoremen to Carter. The rest as they say is history.
But if Hall had supported Ford, he (Ford) would have carried New York state.

I hope you are wrong and this story is right...I have been following this story since I lived in Illinois 2 years ago and I believe it IS going to happen. This was just published 30 minutes ago and a littl different that the rest. IF Fitzgerald is going to do something and indict Obama and cronies he knows he is going to have to do it swiftly. IF Obama is elected he would be throw out. So, I think this article, with a little bit more info, is stating some facts that can’t be dismissed.

Just for a second, imagine what the headlines would read if Sarah had been friends with Timothy McVeigh. Or had served on a board and steered government money toward the man who bombed an Abortion Clinic. Or if the 'first dude' had a job at a hospital and Sarah had arranged for a big grant to go to the hospital and Todd's pay increased within a month to hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. Or if McCain was involved with an organization that shamelessly committed voter fraud in swing states? Do you think the New York Times would give a flip? YOU can bet your last dollar on it. They would be on those stories like white on rice.
Well, flip it and it's all true of Obama and there isn't a peep.
And so, I don't agree with you DAC - the only time the MSM would make any effort whatsoever to be "fair" is if they knew for a fact that Obama had it and couldn't lose. They they'd throw in some of the "other side" to make themselves look good in their own eyes. Think putting in the second team when you're so far ahead you can't lose... No, the fearless members of the MSM are afraid to stand alone - or to stand truthfully. They're the equivalent of a state controlled press only they've given up their freedom voluntarily.

Oh, I genuinely hope this story is so....and the true story of Obama and his past history and associations will be explored and exposed.
After the Scooter Libby case, Fitzgerald is not high on my hit parade and I wonder about his allegiances. I’m not convinced of his objectivity. Sorry for being so cynical.....I TRULY hope something will happen to awaken the many Americans who are not paying attention to what Mr. Obama has in store for America.
Tony is due to get his sentence exactly 1 week before the election on Nov 4. He got one delay of sentencing already. I don’t think he will get another. He is trying to lighten his sentence by giving up more info, IMO.
I think Nobama is deeply tied to the Illinois state treasurer Tony might squeal on. That could lead to a rolling over onto Nobama.
Tony better be very careful whereever he is. Arkancide seems to be able to spread.
However, there is still that federal lawsuit in Philadelphia, and the reports of solid evidence that Barry was born in Mombassa, Kenya, and has never in his life been a US citizen. I wonder how the messiah is going to get around that? The 2008 Presidential election is a political thriller to rival “The Manchurian Candidate”.”
This whole season of political action has MOVIE written all over it...maybe even a mini-series..
