If Bob Rae thinks that's a defeat, I'd love to have seen him spin away a Conservative majority!

You can still take the River Road. Its not as busy now. ;) Some big stretches were closed between Lower Woodstock and Long's Creek.

I married a gal I met at UNB, from Cap Cod.
One summer before we were married , she took me to Nauset Beach on Cape Cod.
Well, from then on it was curtains. DO NOT go to the beach on Cape Cod. Wedding Bells start ringing!.LOL
We still joke about it.

Richly deserved, IMO.
Anyway, going to get to bed. It’s been nice chatting with you all!

Are they smoking crack? That is my theory.

I got a kick out of the deer fences along the way.
They look odd for sure. But I understand that they do keep the animals off the roads. I'm sure you know how bad that issue can be here.
To: Candor7
LOL! Well, just hop in the water at the Cape if thing get too “hot.” That is the coldest ocean water I’ve ever been in.

I don’t get to drive it very much, but I believe the section west of Longs Creek is open again.

Harper and the CPC should be very proud tonight. I know that I am proud of them and I am an American!

Serious liberal gerrymandering going on in Ontario, keeps the Conservatives from gaining more seats:
42 seats, 32 go Lib, 8 Tory, 2 Dips.
Popular vote?
Libs: 470,592
Tories: 358,772
NDP: 158,087

Yes, props to the CPC. They survived many a witch hunt put on by the opposition.

How are the boundaries of ridings determined? Are they drawn by the provinces?

Another Trudeau. We’ll have to take him out next election. One riding in which I was rooting for the Bloc. Damn.

Those deer fences are a great advertisement for hunters to come to New Brunswick.
Yes. I know how bad it can be during certain times of the year. Its a good thing they have them.
In New Hampshire, if you hit a deer with your car, you can claim the deer as your bounty.
My dad hit one on a visit down from NB, and he gave the deer to the garage. Needless to say , his car was repaired very quickly.
I am so cheered with these Conservative gains. I hope my homeland is awakening. We are in for some tough times for a few years.

Trudeau may be a one-termer. Papineau is not forgiving.

The water is cold on the Cape on the Eastern beaches, but the SOuth side beaches are warm.
The cape is too populated now though. Most of our vacations are taken in PEI and Japan.
