Newsmax also asked if the campaign uses a similar security screen to match a donor’s name and address to the card number when the donor uses a debit card or a gift card.

Timmerman wrote a precious column on this (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2109753/posts). We were speculating on how these donations could get by without passing the smell test. I thought one way was the use of gift cards (like the Visa gift cards redeemable anywhere) that someone paid for with cash so the purchaser is untraceable.

The previous article discusses the appearance of foreign donations (unrounded contribution amounts). Could be Visa type gift cards purchased with foreign currency, then donated to Obama who then converts it to US $$$ so the amount comes out unrounded (234.17, e.g.).

Here's how it goes down. People with huge amounts of money buy a bunch of credit card gift cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc. in small denominations) in both the US and in foreign countries using cash so the purchase is untraceable.

Then these cards find their way into the hands of certain people who use them to make online donations to Obama and create names and addresses of donors.

You don't know who originally purchased the cash gift cards, you don't know whom they were given to and you can't trace who redeemed the card as a donation.

And once the Obama campaign discovers that the donor is bogus (Daffy Duck?), there's no way to return money to a bogus donor where the money trail is totally untraceable.

“These people will try to get away with whatever they can.”

And why not? No one will stop them - and they know it. They’ve tested the waters, they walked them, they own every little trick in the book and will probably reap billions advising others of their secrets.

Any candidate favored by Bart Simpson is good enough for me.

WOW you mean campaign finance reform didn’t work out well for the side that plays fair right...?

As much as I despise CFR, this doesn't even come close to being predictable -- for the simple reason that we've always assumed that a presidential candidate wouldn't dare engage in massive fraud in plain sight. So now it's happened, and it's the same technique that ACORN uses -- flood the zone with paperwork (in ACORN's case, thousands of new registrations dumped on  state/country voter registrars at the last minute) and overwhelm the system.

When irregularities emerge, claim that well, you know, it's not intentional fraud, it's just the sheer volume of enthusiastic participation,  and it can't be helped. The flaccid FEC doesn't want to touch it if they can't prove that it was done intentionally, which would take hard proof from an Obama insider, and we know that won't happen. Of course the CC processing company is also complicit in suspending "security requirements" -- such as a valid name and address -- but there were probably no laws broken, just extemely questionable ethics, but ethics no longer carry any significance for Obama or the Democratic Party.

In past years, the media would have been the first line of attack on these scams, but not this year: they're fully complicit in looking the other way.

Where does the Obama corruption end? Acorn, credit fraud, foreign money, MSM bias, Rezko, etc. Obama is the dirtiest of the dirt. How can any decent American vote for this guy? And what does it say for the MSM who know about the dirt and play cover up? How patriotic is that? It’s not good journalism. In fact, it’s pure treachery to the American people.

“These people will try to get away with whatever they can.”

Again and again these people have done things that, in any other era, would have precluded any further rise or political ambition.

These people have been putting pressure on American Culture since time immemorial

It is not these people who are at fault, but the change in American Culture that is. Obama has amply shown us who he is. If he gets in so be it.

...which has allowed illegal donations from foreign donors and from unknown individuals using anonymous “gift” cards, industry analysts and a confidential informant tell Newsmax.

Minister Farrakan's wife and Obama's wife have worked together before... I have no idea if there's a connection.

Obama conveniently turns a blind eye to every shady activity connected to his campaign. I haven’t heard him denounce one of these practices from his surrogates.

Ultmately it was what brought down Lyndon LaRouche (D).

Where is RICO to seize ALL assets?

$700million is a lot to pay for a job that only earns $2million in 4 years.

But then this is a pervasive culture of corruption that extends to the top of the Democrat party.

And yet their lapdogs in the media would rather make innuendo about a guy in a bathroom stall tapping out bruce code with his foot or sending “I think ur hot” emails to someone he never had physical contact with. THAT was considered evidence a “culture of corruption” to a media that was in collusion with the DNC in sitting on the story until late in the 2006 election cycle (subsequent congressional investigation revealed the media and DNC knew MORE, EARLIER and did nothing except hold it in their dirty tricks file).

About the only gratification I will get out of this entire mess is that I’ll get to say “I told you so” to my in-laws, once this is all over and they see him for what he and his ilk are. I’ll be so happy to rub their noses in it.

Well, if he gets in we’ve got to agitate for investigation and impeachment. Not too likely, but eventually we ought to be able to take him down. He’s too unconcerned about breaking the law, thinks he’s too untouchable. That type eventually always over-reaches.

Unless he consolidates power.

The trouble with that "told you so" is not that it isn't true -- it is true. Yet having been down that road in more local and personal situations, a person decent and smart enough to have seen it coming will have not the heart to say it when it becomes obvious.

This may be a area of inter-personal communications in which I could take some advice. Yet even the Israelite prophets had problems with the dynamic. No one ever takes "I told you so" in any good sense, evidently -- the best you can do is reach the generations after the deafened ones. There are very few who can take rebuke at this level, and far fewer who seem able to give it effectively.

The ROI I’m speaking of on the $700 mil has to do with reshaping the world’s geopolitical landscape. There will certainly be other financial gains as well, but the real ROI will be in the transference of power.
