It has been absolutely appalling. Blatant double standards, outrageous sexism, and worst of all the Cone Of Silence with respect to anything that might be regarded as derogatory to The One. This is what it was like in the Soviet Bloc countries - one source of "truth" and a deliberate attempt to ensure that it was the only one.
