GULFPORT -- WLOX-TV reporter and weekend anchor Toni Miles has been arrested with three others on felony drug charges.

Gulfport police officials said Miles, 32, and three men were arrested in a multi-agency raid with a search warrant at a home on Quincy Avenue. She is charged with possession of cocaine.

Gulfport police said they seized about three grams of cocaine and about five grams of methamphetamine in the search.

Also arrested are Jonathan Chase Cullifer, 28, Ronnie Wayne Blacklidge Jr., 36, both of Gulfport, and Joseph Glenn Mathis, 35, of Daphne, Ala.

Cullifer is charged with possession of meth with intent to distribute. Blacklidge and Mathis are both charged with possession of cocaine.

Police said the four were taken this morning to the Harrison County jail, where they are being booked on felony charges. Bonds are set at $100,000 for Cullifer and $50,000 each for Miles, Blacklidge and Mathis.

The Sun Herald updates this story in Saturday's editions.

Back in about ‘85 I was on the Gulf Coast as Sheriff Hobbs was busted for serious dealer quantities. That gave Police Chief (and Pubbie) Larkin Smith the in for Sheriff. Smith later was elected to Congress and killed in a small plane crash during a storm.

My younger sister works for a Judge in S. MS handling the Drug Court. She directs the program that keeps up with folks who are given the chance to avoid prison by getting their lives back on course. She is appalled at the effects of Meth on so many, and how it hooks them so quickly.

In the ideal world, this would not be a crime.

Its way past time to re-legalize all drugs.

I’m gonna do ah lil name droppn here too...
Jimmy Love...
He was tha owner of Love Communications and a good man...but I’ll return to that...
Growing up on tha coast back in tha 70’s and when coke was as popular as Crown and Coke with tha upper crust of society,,,as I’m sure it is today,,,Hey all that is still crossing tha borders according ta ya’lls reports is not being solely supported by street and middle<>low income people,,,ya’ll got tha laws and drug testing of us to tight,,,when it got out of hand thar was re-hab and support from locals and alike...
But now Love communications is owned by ah conglomerate and I don’t blame Mr Love for profiting and selling to Raycom Media...
But I know from tha past that Mr. Love would report tha facts properly and he would not fire yet get her re-habilitated and her job would be there...
Now course she would have to return at entry level reporting to gain back public confidence...
But is Raycom going to treat her like ah statistic and is her downfall because of the works inline with the book, “How to Climb Tha Corporate Ladder thru Intimidation”, because thar is a newly anchor person that has nowhere near her seniority thar and afew new interns???
Hint...Hint...News Scoop!!!
What’d be nice is if someone taken on even as a documentary her effects to get bac what she has lost...
My personal comments are;
For those uppercrust and alike today such as those from Abbey Hoffman and those that fought and now live as those they fought...”The General Epistle of James”, Chapter Five will apply to ya’ll...
And for those that can do that don’t...
And for those that need real food for this so as to apply to tha next;
“Corinthians” Chapter 13 - Verse 13;
New testament states - And Now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity..
Good News states - Meanwhile these three remain: faith, hope, and love; the greatest of these is love.
And for those that can not seem ta ever know what love means or defined as:
L - Liftup O - one’s V - virtue E - everyday
I have known Mr. Love to follow and to do that...Funny how his name applies to his belief...

Okie Dokie Bill...

Quit using cream and sugar in your coffee...

Quit drinking coffee....

As a matter of fact - quit drinking H2O altogether...

My point is that thar is always an answer...

Live extremely and one surely will die extremely...

All chemicals and deemed drugs has thar useage in this world...

Problem is that the government deems to regulate so as not to be liable for the consequences and being sued...

Just as the mess we are in with the economy - The Government needs to become Liable for itself or back out and allow the free market system run itself...

The best is to let the free market system and people as the majority and cosumer run it and remove all that is corporate and lazy...

Or what I call “We Tha People”

Such a promising future....real shame.

Having been born and raised on the Coast I saw more drugs during that time do some real good people in, along with some not so good. The Ex Hubby used to work for a company which was owned by a large “Irish” family. Anyway, the son who is now I guess about 40ish was a huge coke head in his day. I am surprised he and the company are still around. The entire family from top to bottom was either a drunk, coke or meth addict somewhere along the lines. I swear they fancied themselves after the Kennedy's! Trouble was they had more money then sense. Plenty of income to throw around on stuff going up their noses or down their throat. So glad old Ex got out of there before he was brought down by them.

I don’t know Toni Miles, except for seeing her on the news, but I am not gonna call her a drug addict, just because she was arrested at the house where drugs were found, does not mean she was or wasn’t using them.
People get bad names from other people assuming the worst in everyone.
WLOX may have been looking for any reason to fire her. AN arrest is NOT a good reason, a CONVICTION would be a good reason, but if I’m not mistaken she was NOT CONVICTED yet!! Give her a break, I don’t think we need to punish her too, she’s got enough on her plate right now.

Is there a course in jourwhoralism school in drug abuse? There certainly seem to be any number of drug-addled reporters and editors out there!

Do you suppose that is why so many of them are so obviously in the tank for Bozo and other liberals? The editors threaten to cut off their supply of meth? Wouldn't surprise me if most of the brain dead reporters got that way due to heavy drug use.
