Ok, are all of you willing to walk away from your homes? Your family? Jobs? and go underground?

Yes. If that is what it takes to secure the future for my kids.

It’s being spoken by more than blogs and reporters...tons of people are dropping big hints on the streets, at rallies, sign wavings, walking the dog, getting the mail....you name it...people are indeed afraid of what is happening and the civil unrest that might result from it.

I am a Daughter of the American Revolution. I fear for my way of life in rural Indiana and for the values my ancestors fought for.

Ah yes a lesson learned.

Good point.

Yet we now have those who were not around for that ride.

How about a country that includes Alaska and some points northwest with those requirements. The east coast libbie libs and the slime balls that want to join them, can. But they won’t have us to bail their hind ends out. AND we won’t let them in. We’ll have the oil and we’ll sell it to them really high, so they can get the taxes from that and drive their little electric putputts. And they can bag ALL their groceries in paper and put those stupid light bulbs in their sockets. And eat tofu.

Hi Point C9 9mm at about $120.

I notice all the rounds are FMJ. Can that thing reliably shoot JHP?

Better plan on shooting each target more than once if using FMJ 9mm.

Best gun for the money, IMO. Our company owns dozens of them.

Are you showing the weapon of choice among crack dealers?

"Are you showing the weapon of choice among crack dealers?"

That's like saying that a Cadillac is a terrible car because crack dealers prefer it.

I do not fear it. It angers me that this is being used to intimidate conservative voters. This election is setting race relations back 50 years. If it happens, so be it. I will not be intimidated.

A year ago it would have been unthinkable that it would have been discussed or even considered possible

Baloney. This kind of thing has been kicked around for a long long time. We've seen riots before for many reasons, and we expect to see them again.

Like many times in history, political divisions eventually become great enough that people give up on any resolution, enough people come to believe that they have been irreparably harmed and the only solution is combat, they (on BOTH sides) fire up the rhetoric until some suitable excuse is found, battle ensues, and people eventually (A) overcome or are overcome, and (B) discover that war is pretty ghastly stuff and decide that polite discourse and cooperation is preferable.

Methinks the greatest problem is the extensive comfort and luxury we live in. We are bored, so outrages are invented to entertain us. In the words of Tom Lehrer:

The moment had come,
I swallowed my gum,
We knew there'd be blood on the sand pretty soon.
The crowd held its breath,
Hoping that death
Would brighten an otherwise dull afternoon.

Of course, should our political opposition decide that peaceful cooperative means have been exhausted and that violence is the only means they have to seize the wallets of others, and to right imagined wrongs, the answer will of course be "bring it". Samuel Colt awaits to make peace again.

I bought a new gun today and the guy behind the counter was talking about the possibility of riots etc no matter who wins.....and this was a chain, not a local store. People are no longer whispering about it, but are talkng opening. .....and preparing.
Yeup. I hear it every day from outside the normal circle of people I associate with. Bought a 22 for the wife and kid to play with, at the local X Mart-checked their log as he was flipping through. Gee, I said, selling a lot of Ruger Mini-14's (semi 223 rifle) lately, huh? Can't keep them in stock he said. Most stores out of buckshot here locally. Hear it discussed a lot at night on satellite radio (Rolle James, an expert on making of Tin Foil Hats , XM 152). I think she's a few bottles short of a 6 pack, but the call ins are overwhelming and 100% in agreement.
Of course a lot of what I hear is the same recycled rhetoric I heard back during the Clinton administration, too. (rail cars to transport us to camps, blah blah blah...)

1000 rounds per firearm is prudent.

And while we’re discussing “prudent”:

10 magazines per firearm
1 AR-15
1 9mm (Glock) or .45ACP (M1911)

More of various is desirable, but that’s the prudent minimum.

You know...I really believe there are people ready for a fight...It’s in the nature of our culture to work ourselves up every 4 years for this fight...

Yet this time...Its kinda surreal...The only real unrest that I believe will come out of this will be if McCain pulls out a win on this thing...

If Obama wins, we are not going to be in for a fight...What we will be in for will be a concerted effort to destroy as much as possible every aspect of conservative values, lifestyles, morals and principles in this country...And if you fight back, be prepared for the revenge side of liberal/socialist/communistic and anarchistic agenda...

You are simply a racist!!!

It is the lowest common denominator in all of this so far...And one that those that follow every syllable coming from the liberal politicians will know, but not really comprehend...Because comprehension is not a requirement for those in the “have not” liberal “gimme gimme” crowds...

We be in heap big trouble, and we haven’t even gotten there yet...But wait till November 5th...We’ll see what happens...

Why does Ruger always get the short shrift?

Because some people have problems/issues with the Ruger Mini-14 Rifle.
