He wont go on Rush Limbaugh, but will go on SNL...great priorities... On Rush, he'd be preaching to the choir. On SNL, it's more like having a beer with Joe Six Pack.

Yeah, how about the fact that O’Reilly offered to have Palin on Wed. night during Obama’s telecast and the McCain campaign turned it down! In fact, he apparently talked to Gov. Palin and she said she would have liked to go on but the campaign makes the decision and decided against it. Sure, send her to Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric to be ‘gotcha’ and heavily edited, but no to O’Reilly! I want to smack the hell out of McCain. And he had better not send her to Letterman.

wny, McCain and Palin have been here in PA so much that 'Fast' Eddie Rendell jokes that they both oughta being paying PA Income tax (and nice reminder I might add of Dem's taxing policies...)
I thought 0bama was having a 'me too' moment (as Gov. Palin rocked on SNL two weeks ago)...but having JohnnyMc on is a great idea. He is funny...great timing (as evidenced by the Smith Dinner in NYC) and delivery. He will do great!!! Its free air time...also...'buzz' that (as PA resident now, and of course a newly minted Stiller fan) Johnny Mc might be showing up at the Skins/Steelers MNF game. Can't hurt...only helps...

Agreed. I was surprised and laughed my butt off watching him at that dinner.I have Rush streaming at my desk at work every day and I thought I heard him speaking to McCain one day in a phone interview about a month ago.

He should campaign in PA at 11:30p EST?
Are you aware the Loren Michaels, the producer of SNL maxed on on his contribution to McCain’s campaign and gave not a dime to Obama ?

O'Reilly and Hannity are preaching to the choir. SNL reaches a whole other audience. Last week, as the SNL openning skit, they did a CNN 'live' broadcast from Johnstown, PA w/Biden and John (They Are All Racist!) Murtha. They protrayed Biden as a total flake; and Murtha, well as a racist!!! Millions of viewers, outside of PA who wouldn't be 'sensitive' the Murtha remarks got schooled. On the NBC website; HuLu, YouTube the hits were astromonical to re-view that bit. And guess what? With the national 'buzz' extra money (from all over the US not just PA) came into the Russell (the one running against Murtha) campaign. SNL...is big time...it is a wise move.

As a matter of fact, it appears as though Lorne Michaels gave to McCain to help get him through the primaries (March & May donations - read: promote the weakest opponent) and then he gave the larger chunk of his campaign cash to Obama in August.

His SNL appearances are the best of all politicians They really are. The show he hosted a few years back had me roflmao! I dislike him too - but gotta admit, he has a wicked sense of humor, and that says something about the man.

The donation to Obama came rather late in the day, after my last check on the donations site. He’s been donating to McCain since ‘00. Many businessmen do donate to both sides, especially in a case like this where he’d want both to appear on the show.
The donations to Dodd and Franken shouldn’t surprise.

AS noted, Michaels has given to McCain since ‘00. Maybe he just likes the guy.
Donations to the primary in March and May were in ‘07 when McCain was a goner. That’s when Rudy was on the ascendency, through all of ‘07, remember?
