Obama and the Runaway Train The race, the case, a hope for grace.(Peggy Noonan's Dribble)

The case for Barack Obama, in broad strokes:

He has within him the possibility to change the direction and tone of American foreign policy, which need changing; his rise will serve as a practical rebuke to the past five years, which need rebuking; his victory would provide a fresh start in a nation in which a fresh start would come as a national relief. He climbed steep stairs, born off the continent with no father to guide, a dreamy, abandoning mother, mixed race, no connections. Obama and the Runaway Train The race, the case, a hope for grace.

He rose with guts and gifts. He is steady, calm, and, in terms of the execution of his political ascent, still the primary and almost only area in which his executive abilities can be discerned, he shows good judgment in terms of whom to hire and consult, what steps to take and moves to make. We witnessed from him this year something unique in American politics: He took down a political machine without raising his voice.

“Apotheosis” - a Greek word.

“Hubris” is Greek as well.

Dear American sons and daughters,

You have been gone for close to 2 years travelling with Obama all over the USA. I hope you had a great time visiting places with him, may be learning a few new things and forming a special bond with him. But it is time to COME HOME.

Oh, you say, you do not want to. You like this fun lifestyle and a new way of living, a made-up world that Obama is offering you and you deserve to enjoy the moment.

But remember, when you were little and wanted to always spend time at your friends like Obama! I used to remind you that having friends is great but there is no place like home. So it’s time to COME HOME.

You still do not want to! You know you are making me worried. Let me ask you this? You say you are having a good time with Obama, but what have you really learned from him? Was he able to penetrate deep in your heart, touch your imagination in ways that you will never forget? Did he leave an impression on you, your character in ways that forever changed your views about yourself, family and country?

While you are thinking about this, let me share a story from my life. I know a guy by the name McCain who was also young and restless in his youth and wanted to have a care-free life. One day he found himself in a far away country with some of his friends, but it was not a very fun place to be. Suddenly he realized how much he misses his HOME.

But it is his friends like you who were to most fortunate ones. Because with McCain, they got to really understand the meaning of courage, love for the country, individual freedom, liberty, pursuit of happiness. But in the process, this group of friends also found out the influence that government can have on ones existence.

It is then they realized that the System of Government our forefathers put together is what is most sacred about America, the HOME and anyone who tries to change or undermine the basic foundation is like someone taking away your HOME.

My dear sons and daughters of America, please do not let anyone take away your HOME. It is time to grow up, give up friends who mean harm to your way of life, and start living in the real world. Come and protect your most precious possession, your HOME on November 4 as that is the day enemy has marked for surrender.

I know you will never allow for this surrender to happen. My hope is that you will come with such force and vengeance that stories will be written about it and for that the future generations will be always indebted to you.

COME HOME!
Time to COME HOME and vote for McCain.

From you loving mother,
America.

Whatever, Peggy.

What is her point anyway?

Even Peggy Noonan — the Grand Dame of Gipperism — has succumbed to Obama’s undeniable conservative charms. Just last month I listened to her wax poetic about the Adonis of Chicago between chukkers at the Newport Club polo tournament final.  “Why Peggy, you old dowager,” I quipped, “I believe you just had an orgasm.”

Vichy Republican, that is all she has become, there is no fiber in her musings anymore, just sycophantic jargon.

I used to like her work, now...I suggest that Mrs. Noonan be replaced with Laura Ingraham?

This woman hates Sarah Palin, plain and simple. She despises that a regular woman, not of the elites, could possibly be in a position of power in Washington DC. Noonan is an unbelievable snob, looking down her nose at all of us.

I predicted the elites of left and right would reject the McCain/Palin ticket which is really more populist with the addition of Sarah.

This is a wonderful election. We are really seeing the worst trash of both sides very clearly in the light of day.

That is what I was thinking...

This is not the same person.

And I actually use to respect her...

I guess my judgement of people is as good as Obama.

The race, the case, a hope for grace.

She's clearly infatuated with his blackness. Sounds like the Johnny Cochran making his final arguments.

I am saddened that Peggy has gone over to the dark side.

The MSM will use her and pay the 30 pieces of silver but in the end she will be thrown on the liberal garbage heap like an old used condom.

That is what happens when you forget the people who brought you to where you are, then discard them and their hopes in favor of social circle acceptance...

That is the price that Vichy pay.
