I think everyone who keeps posting the breathless vanities needs to take a night off and plug in a movie.
John McCain is going to win this election. The polls are misreading the Dems and Republicans registered as Dems when the reweight their polls. They are way off.
Republicans are firmly established parties in OH, FL, NC and VA. They know how to turn out voters in these states and will carry them. PA will be the surprise of the contest.
But...if it doesn't go our way, we need to keep our heads clear and look at the positive. We have Sarah Palin. She has rinsed our party of the David Brooks/Peggy Noonan losers once and for all. We can begin working on a conservative coalition.
Two years of Obama, Pelosi and Reid will lead to gains in Congress in 2010. Palin will be a force in 2012 and defeat Obama (assuming he hasn't outlawed elections by then or we haven't been nuked by Iran). She and Bobby Jindal will really clean up Washington.
I certainly want McCain to beat Obama - Barack has no business in the White House. But I do acknowledge that McCain will drive us conservatives nuts for four years as POTUS. Sarah will probably have to run against him in the primary in 2012.

(HONOLULU)(November 1, 2008) Internet powerhouse Andy Martin has ignited a firestorm in Hawai’i over Barack Obama’s bogus “original” birth certificate. Martin won a stunning victory Friday afternoon (October 31st) when the State of Hawai’i backed his assertion that there was an original, “typewritten, 1961” birth certificate, called a “Certificate of Live Birth” or “COLB” in Hawai’i, that no one has previously seen. Hawai’i officials retrieved and examined the document after Martin filed a lawsuit seeking access to the historic 1961 original.
Obama has falsely claimed to have placed the “original” on the Internet. Factcheck.org has falsely claimed to have seen this document and posted it on the Internet; that is not true. CNN has falsely ridiculed Martin.
Hawai’i officials have now refuted Obama’s false assertion.

...like we’re all supposed to watch a movie when we’re like days away from being nuked? That attitude is what has got us to this point.
Well to me, the biggest thing that has my blood pressure up is how our supposed opinion leaders in the media have went out of their way to sling mud at Sarah Palin.
I’m a bit apprehensive over the election, but who isn’t? Anyone with half a brain thinks we are getting jobbed by the pollsters and ACORN is working overtime.

I don’t agree. If we lose, these very same country club Republicans will blame Sarah for it. They’ve already started, with their endless blather about how she’s a “drag on the ticket” (I guess they consider the zillions of people who want to get in to see her speak an hallucination or something).
I do agree, though, we need to purge these people from the party. They’re an ideological cancer, if not out-and-out plants by our RAT enemies. If we win, we celebrate. If we lose, we figure out how to rebuild so we don’t lose again (famous last words, since I’ll be the first to be morbidly depressed if we lose - but I REFUSE to believe that!).
Anyway - On election day, I’m not going to allow the MSM to depress me, because I won’t watch it. I haven’t even decided if I’ll lurk HERE - because I just don’t want to have my strings pulled for 20 hours or so until some kind of resolution is reached the day after election day. Too well I remember the feeling of the all-important Florida vote of 2000 being called for the RATS... only to be, um, retracted somewhere along the line when it became evident that Bush won (something the hardcore RAT brigade denies to this very day... LOL).
What would make me laugh is Hussein in handcuffs...saying, “but it wasn’t my fault, Bill Ayers made me do it and it was George Bush who refused to put him in jail for having a bad influence on me...”
We must defend our country and make sure we do not beecome a socialist country and stop Obama on NOV 4th.
For all the vanities and mindless polls, it’s a mystery how this site even runs.

I see the excess vanities during this election runup as everyday people trying to make a difference, any way they can.
I think Mr. Robinson and the MODS have been pretty lenient about the vanities, and it’s probably a ‘good’ thing.
If it gets much more mindless, the how may change to why.
I remember November 4, 2004, when early in the day CSPAN was running a live tour of a major polling office with DNC staffers there. They were highlighting misleading poll data that suggested a total blowout of Kerry/Edwards voters and that the elections was all but over. The Wonkette blog repeated the misleading data, then Drudge took the bait and posted a siren, claiming that Bush was doing very badly in exit polls. Drudge quickly figured out he was snookered and took down the siren.
What I’m saying is that people are using polls as a tool to try to move more votes for Obama. The only poll that matters will be televised at Midnight on Tuesday. Even then I would take it with a grain of salt as parsing out the fraudulent votes will take even more time.
I sure hope they are misreading it. Hopefully McCain/Palin people are just ignoring the polling phone calls, or being less than candid with the pollsters.

No problem. I have lots of ammo and two good dogs. I have a good family. I have the ability to implement redistribution and/or live off the land. I have a benevolent God who has promised me eternal life. It could be worse.

I waited in line 5 hours to vote last Sunday in Florida. It was mostly an Obama crowd - blacks, gays, Jews, affluent/educated whites. (East Ft. Lauderdale).
There was a group of young black men - looking like extras from Central Casting for “The Wire.” They started trash-talking; they were trying one-up each other by mentioning they were “goin t’bee ConstiTUtional schawllurs jus lik Obama.”
Funny! Well - at least they aren’t aspiring to be drug dealers nor see going to jail as a right of passage!
