But this is a positive move for these numbers in almost every state. Especially PA.
There are other polls in PA that don't show it this close but they've also moved in GOP direction over the past few days. Ras has it at -6, SUSA at -7, Morning Call at -7. A week ago MC was at -13, heck all the polls were in the double digits. This is excellent corroboration of Rick Davis' statement about them being close in PA.

Calling independents in Virginia yesterday. Out of about 400 calls made, of those responding, about 60% were passionately for McCain. (I was not polling Northern Virginia.)
Virginia is SO important...thank you for your work there!
IMO, we’re gonna win all of those states! I think the message about Obama wanting to bankrupt the coal industry is getting out. People are now seeing Obama for the fraud that he is!
VICTORY FOR MCCAIN-PALIN!!!
Does that mean 40% were for Obama? Or were there undecideds, too? The last I heard, some 9% of VA voters were undecided, probably boding well for McCain.
Not so good, but we can hope. Any news from Murtha?
Pa or Co. McCain need one of them or both.
I was polling by phone a list of undecideds on the afternoon of Nov. 2. Called about 400 people in Distict One. Of those responding about 60% were for McCain, maybe 40% for Obama. There were maybe five who remained undecided or said they did not feel comfortable saying who they were voting for on the phone.
Some of these “undecideds” were very passionate about voting for McCain and very anxious about the election. I think Obama might be inspiring a fear factor.
Very small sample, but worth sharing.
Oh, I’m sorry. I did not catch the fact that you were polling undecideds. 60%? Maybe a little higher? Is that enough? I am counting on the military to come through for McCain in VA.
Especially since the battleground states are largely coal states. Plus you have even advertising spending for the first time in WEEKS in these states. The trend lines are looking VERY good. I'm hopeful for the first time this week, trending towards "very hopeful." 8-)
Plus NO early voting in PA
What part(s) of VA were you calling? Hopefully those were responses from Hampton Rds/Norfolk. If McCain can win by 5+ points there I think it will be enough to over come the 60%+ vote Obama is going to get in Alex/Arl/Fairfax.
I was calling in District One—Fredericksburg, Stafford, Fauquier, King George and Northern Neck. There is a high military presence here.
GOOD!! That had me worried. I could see long lines of people demanding their vote back!
The ‘Coal’ soundbite should reverberate today and will be the excuse these lame-ass pollsters will use to explain all the egg on their face.
