No, not necessarily. Even though this may have gone Republican in the past it isn't surprising that Obama won. Why? Well, in Dixville your vote really isn't private given the small population and the media attention. So what we are seeing is the same thing we are seeing with the polls where people don't want to admit they are not voting for Obama.
So I wouldn't try to read too much into this.

I’d like to know the residency time of the voters. How many are long-time ‘down-easters’, and how many are new Mass transplants. If they are harbingers, and O gets in, I bet they all will be conservative republicans in a year.
So hard to think of Maine and NH as going left. My beloved Vermont was once ultra conservative.
